RE: Question about the aftershokz headphones.
Hello! What's the exact name of the Bose Bluetooth headset many of you are talking about here?? I became very curious! Please, give me the exact model name or an Amazon link ect, thanks! I'm considering buying the AfterShokz headset for in field use but would also like something for music and stuff and Bose sounds like a good choice since I've heard some of their headphones and they were usually very good. It's easiest to clip them on to the sides of the band near the front, where it is narrower, and then slide the clips back until they won't move anymore. No, you can use SIRI via the home button or via the call button on the left ear piece. Just press and hold the button until you hear a long beep. Re: Question about the aftershokz headphones.
You mean on the headband close to the back of the head? Guess I need to feel around there more. I have noticed that the sound wil changed based on how I position my neck and head. If I lean forward or back, the pressure on the headphones increases, so the sound will change, not just getting louder, but there seems to be more bass if I'm playing music. I realize this is objective, and it doesn't interfere with call volume. The aftershokz won't compare to the Bose. The reason that the aftershokz are useful, is for keeping your ears free to listen in public, or for traffic patterns. Re: Question about the aftershokz headphones.
I understand completely. smiles They fit behind my ears Okay, but I've given up on getting them to fit exactly across the back of my head. They sort of droop down like a backwards blouse so they're almost touching the back of my neck between my shoulders. I have long hair, and even in a pony tail this can get a little annoying, but I'm used to it. I've moved in all kinds of directions while wearing them just to try to knock them off, including bending down to harness and pick up after my dog and while the headphones shift some on my face, they've never come off or even came close to sliding out of place. They took a bit to get used to, but they're actually quite comfortable and fit well even though they're a loose fit. The controls are quite simple. The other functions are on the headband, so you'd need to reach behind your head to access them. There's a micro USB port with a small, flimsy swivel cover, the on/off switch that also doubles as the pairing switch, and a volume rocker switch. I'm not sure about charging out of the US. Re: Question about the aftershokz headphones.
Well, I didn't get them specifically for music. They sound Okay, but only if I'm using them while just sitting waiting or not wanting good sound quality. They do feel odd if I've got them turned up as they vibrate even at low volume, and the higher volume increases the vibration on the sides of my face that actually tickles and then gets really annoying after a while. I can hear them just fine, but at first I did have to fiddle with the VO volume, the headphone volume, and the volume switches on the phone to strike a balance, though because they're all independent of each other. I can hear the GPS and conversation around me, though I need to concentrate more on each individual element just as I would when using and external device. Hello Lisa, The headphones are supposed to fit just the way you have them. If they were supposed to fit snugly to your head, they'd have adjusters. Not yet, and I doubt if I will. The strap feels like a very short rubber band that I think would make the head band to tight. I can't even figure how they fit on, though I can feel two ridges on each wide part of the strap that probably correspond to the left and right side of the headband, so it's just a matter of affixing the strap to the headband or headphones and stretching them. if I want to hear the pitter patter of little feet I'll put shoes on my Dog! I love them. I use the tension band because I guess i have a wierd shaped head. I like the sound quality, and you can raise or lower the volume either with the volume buttons on the phone, or the volume control on the back of the head band. The headphones are attached to a band that fits over your ears and goes behind your head. They took a bit to get used to, but they're actually quite comfortable and fit well even though they're a loose fit. The controls are quite simple. There's a answer/end call on the left ear that also allows you to use SIRI if you press and hold the button. There's an identical button on the right ear that starts and pauses music. The other functions are on the headband, so you'd need to reach behind your head to access them. There's a micro USB port with a small, flimsy swivel cover, the on/off switch that also doubles as the pairing switch, and a volume rocker switch. I'm not sure about charging out of the US. Mine came with a USB cable that I can connect to a PC or a wall charger. So far, I've just used my wall charger, which is the same one I use for other USB devices. The included cable seems fairly standard and would probably work with other things with a micro USB port. Just ask if you have more questions. Re: Question about the aftershokz headphones.
Hi Annie, I bought the blue tooth aftershokz with the in line mike and really love them because I can use them with no cord going from my hands or pocket to my head and when I am out and about walking or on a bus or a train this is safer and way less annoying. There is a button on the left ear piece to answer and hang up the phone. On the right ear piece is a button to paws or play music so it makes it very easy to manage things somewhat hands free. I ware them under my hair so no one can tell I have them on. This is great, however, when I talk on the phone, if I don't have the phone in my hand, it looks like I am talking to myself, lol. Re: Question about the aftershokz headphones.
It depends. The volume of the phone call and voice over is still an issue for me. I try locking the screen as soon as I make a call because VO will announce the name of the person I'm calling and then give me the time elapsed. I've turned off speech completely and have had good results with that. People can understand me just fine, but for me, the reception seems to get distorted and can fade in and out, and this is with the phone in my pocket. The same thing happens if I'm listening to a streaming music station, though. I'm not sure why as the phone is right next to me. I can start walking while the phone is in my pocket and the music breaks up and comes back, so I'm not sure if something is being blocked while the phone is in my pocket or what. There's also a slight delay from the time you issue a command like a swipe or double tap and the time the next app is located or opened. I know some of this is the Bluetooth, but it can get annoying, especially when using both a Bluetooth headset and Keyboard. I'm a fast typist, so this probably doesn't help, either. Over all, I like this headset. Pairing was a breeze, I just turned it on and then went into the Bluetooth portion of the iPhone settings and it was paired automatically. I can switch between off and standby or regular headphones with no problems. Lisa if I want to hear the pitter patter of little feet I'll put shoes on my Dog! Keith, It's my understanding you have to order directly from Aftershokz at this point since the Bluez only have been shipping for maybe a month.
