It would have been better if they had duplicated the bottom speaker at the top.It would have had a better stereo field. ** character is found in how you treat people who cannot do anything for you! I think it just goes to show a lot of those Apple reps really don't know enough about voice over! I probably should search online how to clean the front ear speaker, because the rep at the Apple store didn't do anything to it, and maybe that should be cleaned as well. If the bottom speaker can get dust in it, I would think the front ear speaker could also get dust in it! It may depend, on how you have your audio routed. Try looking for the speaker button, when you are playing some music, and see how it sounds. That shouldn't be the case. As the speakers are the same for sighted users too, if they wish to listen to music in stereo, on their phone, without a headset. RE: Speakers On An Xr iPhone Question Please.
Hi Dave, Oh yeah, I know what you mean about how much the reps know about the products they sell. Although, I have to admit I am quite surprised especially both reps had xr phones the same as I do. Matter of fact, the Apple rep at the store yesterday, didn't even check the ear piece speaker! I'm just wondering if it is because maybe they aren't using voice over, so they just really don't know voice over and other come through the front ear speaker. Well, I finally turned on my phone, and listened to voice over and some music, and low in behold, I did hear voice over and the music I was playing coming from the bottom of the phone, as well as from the front ear speaker on the top of the phone, so now, I know for myself! I can't believe I never thought of something this simple! LOL! I'm losing it! Thank you Thank you! Hi Anna, Ok when you say a speaker and mic on the bottom and front of the phone, do you mean a speaker and a mic between the charging port? What is the mic for? On my xr phone, I don't have anything on the bottom in the front of the phone, only between the charging port at the edge of the bottom of the phone. RE: Speakers On An Xr iPhone Question Please.
Hi Dave, The rep at the Apple store and the rep from the accessibility department told me that speaker on the front of the phone has nothing to do with hearing voice over or music, just for talking on the phone. I don't know why, but I never even thought about listening to the front speaker when playing music, but I will now do it. Hi Everyone, Can someone please tell me just how many speakers there are on an xr phone? I know all about the speaker on the front of the phone I hold to my ear to listen when I am on the phone, but what I am talking about is the speakers on the bottom of the phone between the charging port. No. The earpiece, is also a speaker. The phone is stereo, and you could not achieve this, with just 1 speaker.
