Hi all. If you are having that issue of typing words manually I'd
suggest writing to supp...@fleksy.com and let them know. I've been
having the same issue and I think they are trying to investigate the
issue of the manual typing and the lack of voice over on some of the
clicks while trying to type.

Re: Peculiar potential fleksy issue

2012-08-11 Thread Michelle McQuigge
Chuck,
Our issues sound similar yet different. My rotor options were all available to
me, they just didn't work properly when they were executed within the text I
originally typed in Fleksy. What really perplexed me is that I could school by
characters, words etc when in any other fields such as as subject or cc. It's
not what your call a major problem, but it is certainly something of an
inconvenience when preparing correspondence that need to look professional.
Take care,
Michelle,

Re: Peculiar potential fleksy issue

2012-08-11 Thread Chuck Dean
Since you copied the text and pasted it into an email reply, I see no way
that this could be a Fleksy issue. Once the text is on the clipboard, the
Fleksy app is no longer in the loop.

That being said, I had a problem trying to edit an email yesterday. Like
you, I had made a small mistake and needed to change a n to a m. The rotor
would not give me any options other than zoom and lines.

so I gave up and sent the email as is.

How long did you wait before trying to scroll back through your text?
I've noticed I needed to wait a few seconds and possibly longer if it was a

Hi all,

I just had a strange experience and wanted to bounce it off the list. It may
or may not be a fleksy issue - I would welcome your thoughts on this.

I went into Fleksy to write a fairly lengthy email for work. I copied the
text, went into my work inbox and hit reply for the message I was responding
to. I pasted the text in no problem. The issue occurred when I tried to
scroll through the message I had inputted to edit one small mistake. While I
could adjust the rotor setting to scroll by letter, word etc just as usual,
voiceover would not actually read me the text I was flicking through. The
tone suggested I was performing the flick gesture, but voiceover would not
comply. It simply kept repeating the long block of text I had just pasted
into the email. Scrolling worked as expected in the subject line, address
field and all other areas, just not the message body where I had pasted in
my Fleksy text. Has anyone come across this quirk so far? Might this be a
tick in the new update? A completely unrelated issue? I welcome your input.

Thanks,
Michelle

Hi,

I think this is an apple issue and that the Fleksy
developers will not be able to do anything about this.
When VO is toggled off so you can type in Fleksy,
Fleksy uses the Siri voice. Siri always uses the HQ
voice and as far as I know there is no way to change
it, unless you do the following:
Change the default voice that Siri uses in settings to
one that is different from your local region. Then
Seri will use the voice that your region is set too,
but because its not using the same language as Seri,
it will be the low quality voice. I personally prefer
the UK HQ voice so have changed the Siri language to
British English, but still have my region set to
Australia and Siri uses the low quality voice for
Siri.

Hope this helps,
Brett.

Hi,

I think this is an apple issue and that the Fleksy
developers will not be able to do anything about this.
When VO is toggled off so you can type in Fleksy, Fleksy
uses the Siri voice. Siri always uses the HQ voice and as
far as I know there is no way to change it, unless you do
the following:
Change the default voice that Siri uses in settings to
one that is different from your local region. Then Seri
will use the voice that your region is set too, but
because its not using the same language as Seri, it will
be the low quality voice. I personally prefer the UK HQ
voice so have changed the Siri language to British
English, but still have my region set to Australia and
Siri uses the low quality voice for Siri.

Hope this helps,
Brett.

Please try the following: Go to Settings, General, International and make

RE: fleksy issue.

2012-07-15 Thread Brett
Hi,

I think this is an apple issue and that the Fleksy developers will not be
able to do anything about this. When VO is toggled off so you can type in
Fleksy, Fleksy uses the Siri voice. Siri always uses the HQ voice and as far
as I know there is no way to change it, unless you do the following:
Change the default voice that Siri uses in settings to one that is different
from your local region. Then Seri will use the voice that your region is set
too, but because its not using the same language as Seri, it will be the low
quality voice. I personally prefer the UK HQ voice so have changed the Siri
language to British English, but still have my region set to Australia and
Siri uses the low quality voice for Siri.

Hope this helps,
Brett.

Hi. Why don't you like the high quality voice? The compact voice is garbage
compared to the HQ voice.

fleksy issue.

2012-07-14 Thread Wayne Pearcy
Hello.

This is happening because flecksy has speech that is independent of voiceover.
You can at least change your speaking rate to match your voiceover speed. You
can find a speaking rate adjustment option in flecksy settings.

Cheers.

Clean out your app switcher and reboot; then let it load again. Wait till
it indicates you can press the triple click Home.

Now there's no reason I can think of why it shouldn't work for you.
