Well, personally I have used Uber several times to commute and I have had
no problems. Although I will admit that I haven't met with a driver who may
have refused me on the basis of disability, but if I ever meet someone like
that, I'd just book another Cab and complain about him.

Put up a neatly typed notice on your college's public notice board in 15 point

hi Saurav,
having a private chauffeur is the best convenience that you can have.
among all the points put out here, the accessibility of the apps are also a

Hi Saurav and all,
I too prefer a fixed driver but that introduces a single point of failure.
Most uber drivers in my experience do get you until the main gate. You need to
ask for their help.
Yes, getting to a place beyond the main gate becomes a problem which is where,

I have been traveling from Uber to my workplace for many years now, and I
use both cabs and auto-rickshaw rides.
Based on my experience, I can say that in majority of the cases, the
chauffeurs are quite helpful and considerate towards the disabled.

Hi! As my experience if you have any private fixed driver, there are several problems appear. The rickshaw driver will treat add his own wish, he will do as he want to do. For example, he will take leave any time withexcuses like some work, or illness, and so on. Sometime hedoes not come on time
I used to travel with a laptop bag with electronics in it, including a
braille-me external hard drive, laptop Etc. The fear was that if he thought to
rob me and throw me out of the car, at the least they would have my last live
location, even if they stole my phone also.

Hi,
You might need to go through a few bad incidents with not so nice drivers, but
eventually you should get a pleasant and patient driver who will be willing to
help you, particularly if he knows that you will specifically call him up to
accept the job through the Uber provider.
That was how

The reason I wanted to switch to something like Uber is that hiring a
permanent rikshaw driver is costly as compared to the number of days.
The rikshaw driver will charge 8 to
better to hire one four wheeler or 3 wheeler for regular daily
commutation. it would be cost effective and also safe.

I'd say you should ask the driver to stop the vehicle in front of the
college gate and then just ask him which way it is.
