to delete volumes from the volhist that have been deleted by the faulty
DELETE

Or can I manually delete them from the volhist?

Hi TSM-ers,
is there any reason why the TSM GUI doesn't show the current directory it is
working with?
It's annoying not to know how far the backup process has come.
I can remember versions of the GUI that showed the directory.
Is there a future version that will show the directory name again?
Hi TSM-ers,
Today I've got a question of understanding.
What causes the following message:
Retry # 1 Expiring-- ...
Doesn't TSM have to retry when a file is in use on the client?
But retries for a server operation?
This happens on a Windows 2000 client with TSM 3.7.2 server on AIX.

What we are going to do is let TDP backup to a new filespace and then
delete
the old /adsmorc. Is this a good way to bypass this problem?
Yes, if you can be sure that all backup files RMAN knows about are in this
new filespace.
Hi TSM-ers,
inspired by the discussion regarding the deletion of backupsets
I checked my recently deleted volumes and they are still in the
volhistory.
Unfortunately there is no DELETE VOLHISTORY TYPE=BACKUPSET
in 3.7.2.
How can I get rid of this volumes?
Kind regards

When I run
DELETE VOLHISTORY TODATE=TODAY TOTIME=NOW TYPE=BACKUPSET
VOLUME=010016 FORCE=NO
I get
ANR2469E DELETE VOLHISTORY: Invalid volume history type: BACKUPSET
I think this is not supported on 3.7.2
Do I have to wait till I have upgraded to 4.1?
Kind regards

If this doesn't help - check permissions.
We once had a similar problem until I checked the difference in permissions
when running the CMD File online (with your NT account) or by the scheduler
(with the SYSTEM account).

Another thought: when you buy a NSM (Network Storage Manager - 3466)
5000 clients are included.
