Is anyone using TSM on Linux on non-IBM hardware? I am trying to run this on
a Dell machine using SuSE 8 and have been unsuccessful in finding a way to
stabilize the system. If so, please would you provide me with details about
what version of Linux you are using and on what hardware platform
I wish I knew where the list of supported kernels is because that would probably help
you.

Have you consider TSM on Linux on Intel?
I just assisted a university change from AIX with 3590 to Linux (cant
remember the IBM model of server) with 4560 (2 x 4560/LTO1 with 4 drives).
This Uni is probably smaller than you guys - but non the less they are
quite happy

Hi all
I apologize if this question has been asked already.
I have installed SuSE SLES 8 and TSM Server 5.2 on a MP3K H30 with a 3494
Library attached. Next Step is to define the 3494 Library to TSM.
The only way (as far as I found out) to connect the Library is via TCP/IP or
a serial (tty)

Hi TSM'rs
Being a Linux bigot, I managed to convince a new client to opt for a Linux TSM server
over Windows. I am now starting to wish I had just gone for Windows. Unless you can
help I might have to. Here's the problem.
Server Version 5.2.0.2 on Redhat 9
Client Version 5.1.6.2 on Redhat 7.3

fyi... you can upgrade that to Redhat version 8 and you'll see better performance.
