I'd assume the houses have their own grounding at their electrical
service entrance. Any locality in the USA would require that.
Unless it was a hillbilly electric job done on the down-low I suppose.

How are you isolating power to the device with the sfp's?
If they are both powered by the same source doesn't that null the fiber?

I assume they will specify. They speak the right language, and they
have a very well put together website. If they're a scammer they
deserve a few wins just for the amount of effort they've put into the
smoke and mirrors. But I've definitely taken the message, and I'll be
sure to probe them

After you've gone through the mail here, make the call to ARIN.
They'll be very upfront with you on what you need, etc. Their job is to
enforce the rules the members have pu

It's also hard to believe a big hosting company wouldn't provide or at least
specify the server, I would expect them to just ask for rackspace, power,
bandwidth, and maybe remote hands on a per-hour basis.

If you own the hosting space and bandwidth, and buy a used Dell R740 for
example, is it cheaper than
AWS in the long run? No idea, just curious.

Whenever I get inquiries about dedicated servers out of the blue, it’s a
scam.
Yeah all of the ones I get just look like someone wanting to make a spam

Here's a simpler way.
Take the cost of an AWS equivalent and add 50% or 100% depending
on how much you want to do it.

Physical access requirements, do they need access at 4am Sunday
morning? Backup requirements, are they requiring you to provide all
data backup? Spare requirements, do you need a 2nd physical machine
sitting idle with extra Hard disks? OS Support, are they expecting you
to Admin the machine.
