They went with the data they were given, cant fault them. Reseller made an
assumption bases on 99.999 percent of their customers, and i was new to the
process and didnt know to give my frn up front, i do now

Late to this discussion, but if the “Pro’s” had done this correctly in the
first place there wouldn't be an issue now. Just saying, you get what you
pay for. Again, disclaimer - I’m retired and do not work for any of the
“Pros” and have no dog in this fight - but even if the FRN wasn’t given to

If you were not on this list I would probably unsubscribe. And I own the

Mostly we just like having armchair discussions... and then we ask somebody
that knows what they're talking about when we're done.

Then I think it would just be a new call sign on the other site. It'd
probably cost something like $250-$300 extra to change to the other FRN.
There might be other ways to do it too... the coordinator should know the
best way to do it.

one of the two sites on this link we do have. but the FCC had said its was
600-1k to transfer depending on how we did it or something. Live and learn

I don't know if there's any way to transfer a license from one FRN to
another, but cancelling the existing license and applying for a new one on
the other FRN will cost more than changing the current license (as far as
FCC fees). Unless you already have other licenses on those sites under the
yes, we have the existing one, its just associated to the wrong FRN,

you have 60 MHz channels coordinated now?
changing it to 80 MHz will likely require re-coordination, but the costs
will not be as high for total money you pay to a coordinator for
coordination + FCC filing fees, because both ends of your PTP link already
have site callsigns established and paid
The reseller has the coordinator looking into this, just wanting some input
Our first 11ghz link got a little messed up. We make most purchases through
our partner company. by default the vendor naturally assumes the purchaser
is the FRN (they did change this policy after this) So they generated
