n+1 wires on one 1/4" QD post is exactly what that does. Maybe I don't understand I would lean towards the standard of fusing between paralleled batteries though. At least with large-ish batteries that can dump enough current from a good string to another with a shorted cell and burn up

Buying a crimper for Anderson Power Pole and a set of the connectors has saved me a lot of time. I found them useful for vehicle repair/modification purposes as well. It's just a regular ratcheting crimper but comes with the die for the three most common sizes.
