I downloaded ALSA sources from CVS yesterday. Now everything seems to

Hi,
I have installed the newest ALSA-rpm's from SuSE (according to SuSE's
alsa-project maintainer newer than the official 0.9.0rc3-release) but
can not record sound with my working mike anyway.Soundcard and
microphone were successfully tested on seperate machine. Several

I got my Midiman Duo to work, to some degree (only 44.1KHz 16bit recording
works). Now I have the next problem. My speakers are connected to digital
out of SBLive!, so when I record from Midiman, I cannot hear what I'm
recording. Is it possible to somehow combine two soundcards in ALSA so I
get a

Hi,
I have been converting cassette tape tracks to .wav files using 'arecord'
(so I can transfer them to CD).
I have Alsa-0.5.12a and an sblive emu10k1 card.
I find that the resulting .wav files will only play back through one
speaker, using aplay.
I am sure the connections are ok 'cos I hear

Hi,
I have succesfully installed the USB creative extigy using alsa. It
works fine, but recording poses a problem. I only record an empty sound
file, no matter how I adjust the mixer settings. My question is send to
this mailing list, because I noticed alsa creates a lot of mixers. I
used the
Hi all. I've noticed some peculiarities with my driver that I'm hoping to
clear up here. Whenever I use arecord to record a wav, I always try to use
the following sample format: 16-bit unsigned 44100 hz. However, when I try
using this format, arecord outputs something similar to: xrun: at least
0.
