Hi
When I try to run amflush (with the command: amflush daily)
to flush today's backup to tape (didn't happen becaose
someone write protected the tape) I get the following output:
Scanning /opt/amanda/dumps/daily...
20030704: found Amanda directory.
20030706: found Amanda directory.
Hi
Today I noticed something weired: amcheck/amdump requests
one tape (according to the list in tapelist) while amflush
requests a different one. Which brings up the question:
how does amflush decide which tape it is supposed to flush
backups to?

Hi
I'm confused: In amanda.conf the bandwidth is in bps (Bits Per Second)
or Bps (Bytes Per Second)? I'm asking this because before the remark
it's written bps (which stands for bits per second), but in the remark
it's written KB (which stands for Kilo Byte).

Hi
I apologize for posting a question not directly
connect to amanda, but the knowledge of the people
on the mailing list makes it the perfect place to
ask.
OK, on to the real question: I recently started
working with a new company and the only backup they
did was a full backup

professional. The tar version (though not relavent for this) is tar 1.13.19
taken from the sunfreeware's packages.
I hope I'm giving enough details.

Earlier today I sent out an email asking what amanda found

Hello Olivier
The only configuration problem was that I forgot to HUP inetd grin.
We has a power interruption this morning which brought down the whole

Hi
From What I read in the FAQ, Amanda won't be able to backup a computer
if there is a NAT proxy in the way. Is this true?

Hi John
Thanx for the help. Indeed there was a grave problem with the machine.
