[android-developers] Call Forwarding for current call which is ringing

Hello Team,

I am trying to implement  call diverting application for selected numbers,
Can i do that.

Coming with a clear description i need to implement call forwarding on call
receiving, i get a call from a number lets say 9876543210, this user is a
special person so for this i would like to transfer this call to another
personal number automatically and not for other numbers. I am able to get
the number saved and get the incoming number validated.

How can i divert the call automatically when the phone is ringing if that
number is special number.

Hello,

I need a android application where it will show two routes in first screen
let say the route is from A to B and the second one is from C to D. and
 below that i need a button to which asks for show on map, on clicking the
button  it should show the two route maps in the new screen, here i will be
sending 4 points that is 4 latitudes and 4 longitudes to next screen.

Can any one guide me how can i do this. my main moto or requirement is to
show two routes for 4 different points as explained.

i am new using web serviced in the application,

i have a problem while using the web services in the application

i have a URL let us say www.abc.com/2013/11/06

and if i run this URL i get only string as response as *you have done a 
special work,[50%],[80%] *  in the browser.

so i want to get the same response in the application
 
it is not replying as XML to use XML reader of my own XML handler,

please help me how to get the text from the URL.

My applicatoin is parsing the string but i am unable to get the text shown
in the web browser.
When ever i hit the url in any browser it shows a string as output. So i
need a help in getting the string. Parsing was fine with my application

i have been debugging from past 3 days but unable to fine out the reason,

As you have said i have added lot many permissions to make it run but it is 
not working fine,

uses-permission android:name=android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE /

uses-permission android:name=android.permission.READ_CONTACTS /
uses-permission android:name=android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE /

these are the permissions added, and i am using, my phone samsung gt s6012 
model mobile phone,

when i get a call i am not getting any voice from this speech and and no 
exception is also thrown for not getting the voice,

Hi,

that's due to a simple reason which i expect 
that is due to the absence of the directory

save the file to /mnt/sdcard/navkarringtone.mp3 by removing /Ringtones
or make a directory /mnt/sdcard/Ringtones/ using this before you create a 
file out stream
File mp3Directory = new File(/mnt/sdcard/Ringtones/);
   mp3Directory.mkdirs();

then it works fine

and i suggest to add uses-permission 
android:name=android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / in manifest

image your application icon 

you can't see the shade on the icon,

if that is the issue then the problem is in the image file that you are 
using

the solution to this is the icon should be of png format and the background 
should be of transparent, so that the shades and images will not appear,

Hi,

i have used this even but this doesnt make any difference on low end devices

we can see the difference on high end devices like S3 but we wont get the
issue of heap on those devices,  using this will make lots of drawbacks for
the device environment,

I had worked with the same issue for longer period but i haven't find the

i am opening Gallery as intent in my application after saving a image in 
the application

here is the code to open the Gallery to intent

But i notice that the Gallery is not loading all the images (The images

create two instances, They are MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN and

 Player is taking around 60- 70 sec to play the audio

[android-developers] Animation of the videoView in Android 2.2 is not working

Dear all,

I want to know how can we animate the video. I tried animating the
Image using the ImageView and it happened very smoothly. But, when I
try to animate the VideoView using the animation class, I am able to
move the view only (can see a black screen moving) but our video is
played in the same position.

Can anyone please explain how we can implement it?

[android-developers] Issues on Samsung Galaxy S - Android app crashes

Hi,

I am Android developer with experience of more than 40 applications
launched on Android Market.

I have developed a straight forward app which pulls huge data from web
services in XML format and process the data and renders them on the
app as per the business logic. I am using Sony Xperia x10 for testing
and the app is running without any issues. Also tested on some other
models/devices the app is running perfectly. Whereas the same app
crashes and some times facing trouble in receiving data If tested on
Samsung Galaxy S phone under the same test conditions. I went through
the logs and No clue what's happening.

Can anybody help or share their thoughts who have faced problems on
Samsung Galaxy S phone?

Are there any performance issues in Samsung Galaxy S from a Firmware
perspective?

[android-developers] How to track URL in each landing page in Webview

Hi,

I am working on webview android application and I am successfully able to
load a URL in that webview ,and when i click a link in the webview, i want
to capture the new URL string.

for example,
i search in google and browser opens in webview with multiple search links,
now i click on a link and google opens that link,,,in that scenario,i want
to capture that opening link

bottom point is i am trying to open next link in new webview,just like
tabbed browsing.

 Can any one halp me to solve this issue.
