Also... on the projector front, I've had 2 laptops that fail to work
reliably on projectors even though they work fine on monitors, if you're
presenting my advice is show up in the room you're in during a break or
early doors and do a quick check. Also its unlikely all the projects will
be the same

Yes - Speakers *do* need to register for each conference (ApacheCon or
BigData - separate registrations!) with the special speak

The templates will be available soon (previously we got the templates at
least couple of weeks before the event).
For the duration, it will depend of the presentation type (lightning
talk, presentation, ...). Check on the schedule.
