Thank you all for the responses. I've been reading the summaries of John
Wise, as they become available on CAT alerts.
I guess there are just a lot of factors involved and didn't know if longer
drying times were required to make systemic materials rainfast.

Since most plant processes shut down in such cold weather, I doubt the
plant/tree has the ability to absorb and translocate the product where it's
needed (that's another theory).
