Hello Kevin,
Does NTE:SYS-NT Process Control have any old entries? I am tempted to remove
them, they could have been left because of some filter failing to delete them!
Thanks for your feedback.

Has anyone else noticed an issue with 7.1 where it takes a long time to
create and modify active links. I thought it was an issue with my last
environment but it appears to be the same way at my current shop.
Hi Frank
I think this is a known issue - and I'll bet you have the Details view switched
on in the Admin tool
Switch off details view and try to save an active link/filter/form etc.

I do have details turned on looking at active links without it is sort
of useless :)
But that did fix the problem. Without details active links save much faster.
Thankx!

No worries Frank - I think its fixed in a user tool patch later in the
7.1 series - but I cannot remember which patch
It's a little bit of a pain to switch off the details view - but
typically I'd use ARUtilities to determine the details etc, and leave
the admin tool switched off for speed
It's fixed in Admintool 7.1 Patch 7, but only for Active Links :-(
Kind Regards Conny

Hi,
Turn on API/FLTR/SQL/ESCL logging into the same file.
The log should tell you exactly what happens and which SQL/FLTR is
responsible.

Thanks Conny, like when you say but only for active links :-)
I applied the patch and did some tested with active links but not sure if I
have noticed too much difference, but perhaps I have a server running on a
VMWARE and things will be slow anyway :)

We are seeing that similar issue as well. I have not heard a major user

Another tip for the save to happen almost instantaneously is that before saving

David,

It works in the web client but not the user tool.

If we use WUT 7.1 it does not happen.

Yes.
Other users have tried also.

I even tried User tool 7.5 and it doesn't work.

How about a join form between the live data and the archived data?
Perform all searches and reports against that.

I don't think it matters. You can choose any field.
I have not tested it, but it should work and should be easy for you to

Actually, starting with patch 003 or 004 (I think the latter), BMC changed its
strategy for updating patched forms in ITSM. The new patches replace the
existing form with their patched version rather than just updating the existing
form. This means that any additional fields that you have
