Hi Listers,
I'm getting the same error as below: Failed to create reserved system
field: DSOUniqueId on Form: AST:BMC_ConfigBaseElement on server
Has anyone got ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Tina

Amanullah,
This is typically a problem of your client trying to submit a date/time
that's not consistent with how the server is expecting it..

Okay, so I solved this problem before sending the email. Please see
solution at the bottom after reading the problem.
Problem*
ARS 6.3 on Windows with SQ Server.
So, I have a table field with 384 records. The table has Table Drill
Down enabled, Auto Fit Columns enabled,
I have resolved the issue. Turns out if I perform the call as such it actually
works quite well. I had to do a connect inside of the SQL statement when using
it as a variable.
This is how I did it:
msgCount=$($ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus -S /NOLOG EOF
set pagesize 0
You may also use the email functionality.
Thanks

Yes Mahesh,
We are looking for the same kind of functionality. Can you brief me how can
I do it. From remedy point of view the email interface is ready to create
incidents. How can I route the third party application to talk with remedy.

This occasionally happens when you user has a different date/time format than
what the server has. Even though the mid-tier will display it in the correct
format, it doesn't recognize the format when it gets it back. The fix for me
has always been to manually set the locale for that user(s)
You could push the data into the email system, and in pre-ITSM 7 days, that
was an easy way to do it. Another way that may be easier now is to take the
data from the monitoring tool and push it (via API call or whatever) into a
staging form you create. Add workflow to that form to give it enough
Firstly, the monitoring tool should be able to send an email to Remedy and
if Yes, there are two ways:
1. Use AR System Email Engine parsing functionality: This is native feature
of AR System Email engine and doesn't require any new work-flow. However the
email must be in a specific syntax.
2.
Hi all,
I have sometimes felt frustration when trying to correlate error reports
to the actual underlying form name, when Entry-Points and View-Aliases are
the only thing shown by the user interface...
I hope this will be the solution for all of us: http://rrr.se/cgi/alias

Hi,
Has anyone installed ITSM 7.6 Patch 2 as an upgrade from 7.0.3 patch 9?
I get an error when it installs the ITSM Extensions.
Install Exit Code: 1
The Run Extensions error(s) are as follows :-
Can anyone help me figure out how to hide/remove the Watch button that
appears when you open an RKM article? Thanks in advanced.

Patrick,
Technically, this will work assuming all the definitions are set up.
However, it is not a good practice and it is not recommended by BMC.
The highest volume connection in the system is the connection between the AR
System server and the

Tim,
I recommend not upgrading to ITSM 7.6 Patch 001 as we are seeing all kinds
of issues with this patch. I would wait for Patch002 to come out.

Thanks Doug,
That is along the lines I was thinking..
In this case it might be ok.. The thought here was more of a

You could pull that off by extending the RKM UI with the template.htm file
(found in kms_conf) and adding some javascript to manipulate it using the DOM.

Versicle,
To the best of my knowledge you cannot do that. That button is a part of the
application code and not customizable by way of tweaking the configuration
files etc. About only 20% to 25% of the RKM application is really customization
- the rest its best to use it as is out of the box.
BMC sent me a good step by step, that included patch levels (It was a kb on
going from 7.0.02 patch 4 to 7.6).
If I can find a copy I will post it.
Take care,
Howard
