Hi,
I think it is a matter of a renaming of the directory Disk1. This is the
default name if you unpack the installer, and you can not rename that
directory...

Hi,
Where I am at I have no access to a 7.1 server to test the exact behavior of
the installer, but it seems like the installer is not picking up the previous
installation on this machine. Or are you installing 7.6.04 on a new machine
against an old 7.1 database instance?
Have you verified the OS
Hi All,

1. I checked the AR System Server DB Port with DB team and they verified it

mgt studio and it was successful.
3. After providing the AR System Server Instance
We have been having a lot of problems on our servers lately with the 8dot3
setting and BMC installers. Not all just some. Look it up and maybe turn it on
before trying the next install.

Richard,
I have seen places in a windows install where it is unable to create the
service because the service is in the process of being removed, and the
only way to 'fix' that is to reboot the boxhave you been doing any
reboots between install attempts?

If it’s getting to point where it’s trying to start the server there should be
an arerror.log which may help. Is the arserver.exe shown in the task list and
what happens if you try and run the server from the command line?

Whatever is the input mapping will be the qualification of those filters

You can open the filters running on service action after this active link and

Mark,
Look for filters on the 'Service' form that fire on action 'Service',
instead of Sumbit/Modify/etcdepending on the design, you may find many
or few...but, once you have identified all of the services, you can see how
the workflow works.

Doug,

It's not clear if this is what you're trying, but I'd recommend creating a
MS SQL view that pulls the data from the remote DB.
One advantage is that if you can successfully query the SQL view in (say)

Are you running the installer, "as administrator?" If you are installing
on a Windows platform, is DEP enabled and have you added the installer to
the list?
If you are attempting to install to an existing DB, make sure the login

I think that all needed credentials for the db should be picked up by the
installer.
Were you prompted for upgrade or overwrite, and did you choose upgrade?
