No you cannot do the File replace method to upgrade your ARS from 6.3 to 7.1 Upgrading the ARS Server will only change the system forms so you shouldn't have to worry about customization too much. You will need to make sure you have the Oracle 10 client since 7.1.0 will not work with the Oracle
