That pointed me in what I believe is the right direction! It appears either our
ports are not open or the SocialEventManager is not running. Either way
traffic for node.js on port 9001 = not happening!

The following community post is the best that I have seen on the documentation
between Remedy ITSM and MongoDB:

https://communities.bmc.com/community/bmcdn/myit/blog/2016/02/26/the-pulse-mongodb-social

What version of Smart IT are you using? We're on Smart IT 1.2 for Smart IT. We
are on Sun Solaris for our AR servers and remember having some errors similar
to the ones you are seeing (don't believe they are the exact same). Do you
have a multiple MongoDB replica set in prod compared to dev or are you using
any different security settings within MongoDB prod compared to dev? I
remember having to change the social config file for our db_hosts to IP
addresses instead of host names when we implemented the MongoDB authentication
policy to correct some errors.

Which status is the change in? I know that the approval workflow may go nuts if
you start changing dependent fields past the draft status.

Re: How to locate a macro? - Remedy 9

2016-05-26 Thread Support

Hello LJ,

ARSmarts can read macro's embedded in Active Links. You can then
obviously copy-paste them in a Notepad or any interface of your choice.

In fact, but don't spread the word ;-), you can even do that with the
unlicensed version of ARSmarts if you have less than 10 AL with
macro's. You find them in 5 seconds, and then read them 1 by 1.

See you,

Kaïs.

What is funny is I just looked and even a base AR System install for v 8.01 has
5 Active Links with Macros (All are named Pre5.)

Kaur,
I seem to remember a button in the AL that allowed you to 'save' the macro to
filebut

Macros in Active Links have only ever worked in the user tool, which hasn't had
a release since 7.6.04, and those macros have never worked on Mid-Tier, which
is the only client produced and supported since 8.0so, when you say it's
not workingare you still using the 7.6.04 user tool against your 9.x
server?then it should still workotherwise, it won'tand as far as
technology is concerned...you should replace that macro functionality with
native Remedy code instead of a Macro to make it work in Mid-Tier.

Hello All,

We have an active link with SET field actions – ‘Run Macro’. How can I locate
this macro? Only the macro name is there, not full path.
This macro is working on 7.6 prod but not on 9.0.01 test environment. Is it
located somewhere on the app server?

Only thing I know is, it deletes the selected record.

Thanks!
