Hey computergamer. Glad you like the demo.Regarding the enemy hit issue. Every enemy has a sound effect for when they get injured. Is it just that those sound effects arnt intuitive enough or that you can't hear them? I'm wondering if they are too quiet. Although I did do a test to try and make the audio distancing better.Also. Yeah it should say a gold amount when you get a reward. I will look at that.And also I've made  a button to tell you your hp in the unreleased version that I'm working on based on all the feedback. Actually I've also made an entire menu you can access when you are in a duel. To tell you your buffs and status effects. Your spells cooldown times and some more details as well.A few other improvements that are implemented and currently being tested are. The training dummy idea. So you can test out your spells in a fake duel.Remaking the shops so you don't select an amount you want to buy. No one needs to buy two wands of the same type after all.More dialog skipping options. Some dialogs were unskippable.More in the help section about dueling and status effects and buffs. And that's all I can remember without my notes.

Hey Sean.Yeah the bear is being tweaked. Its a bit too good at dodging for a this stage in the game. Where you dont have enough spells to wears its stamina down.I aim to hit it when its on its way back after a charge.Hey ficho.If you find any bugs please let me know. You might have come across q crash I havent experienced. But a save function isn't going to be available for the demo. The game data is going to change drastically throughout the development. So a save function would be better to implement later on. It Could be a lot of wasted effort right now.

I suppose you are ment to be able to hear the cast spells anyway and respond to them. All the tone will do stop confusion for enemies that have different cast sounds such as monsters. You will still have to pay attention to the cast sound to know what spell is coming and use the correct barrier or dodge etc.I'll add it in the settings so it can be turned on or off. And we will see how we go with it.Thanks a lot guys.

Hi guys, sorry to bring his topic back up.I'm just going through the mentioned issues and I'm focusing on the plant monster at the moment. Some people mentioned they had issues knowing when to attack or dodge.I was thinking. all different encounters through the game will have different sounds for when they are going to attack so perhaps it might be best to have a generic little tone that plays whenever an offensive attack is about to be performed by your opponent. Even in duels to accompany the cast sound.Any chance of getting a quick bit of feedback on that idea?

I'm glad the demo is an improvement. It sounds promising. There will still be a lot of tweaks at this stage. Both bear and plant bosses will be optimised.I like the tab idea to show stats during a duel. You can get descriptions and more detail about the spells from the spell upgrade menu. But you wont have heard them if you started with the spell. I also need to add a way to tell you your hp. And have the health value speak whenever you take damage. I forgot to do that for the demo.Regarding the equipment. A feature that will be introduced into the game is the ability to analyse your next opponent. For a price. More money means more detail. This will reveal their strengths and weaknesses so you can build your stats and equip spells and gear that are suitable. I'll look at the bugs you guys have spotted. Im glad they are only minor ones. Doesnt sound like too many have slipped through the net.I do also need to roll out the skip feature to more areas of the game.Does anyone else feel the same about the river game? I manage it OK but its never accurate when you test the difficulty of your own game

Yeah a lot of valid points there Dark. I'm planning on adding more information during a duel. For your health and stuff. Water is the same as fire except it doesn't have a burn  effect. If anyone is interested , this is a brief version of the change list from the previous demo:EXP values in spell menu now working.Menu sounds for entering sub menus and leaving them.Scroll menu sound different for each menu.Skip Cutscenes using space.made WASD and arrows both work for menus, duels,minigames and quests.Made a music volume setting, altohugh msot music is removed for the demo.Learn sounds menu for each mini game.Changed the river rapids object indicator to sound rather than TTS.Added demos to show the mini games being played as a tutorial, rather than just a TTS description.Fish catcher mini game navigation altered.Description of opponents now plays before you duel them.Navigation in quests overhauled. So hopefully much easier to use. Also added boundary indicators.Turret game game now plays beasts in a lower pitch when they are approaching behind you.Vine grower feedback noises on button clicks for growing or breaking.Made escape key take you back to top level menu.There are also countless bug fixes but the list would be way to long if I included everything.Please let me know if there are more things that need altering, or if the game seems to be on the right path. As always I really appreciate all your help. I believe if I keep an open dialog with the players and make sure I listen, we should have a very good game by the end of it.

Thanks Stewie, I just checked and found two copies of the demo, although the more recent one was called Demo.zip.zip. I should have fixed it now. Navigation should now be just using the keys to go in that keys direction. you no longer use left and right to alter the direction you are facing.Apologies everyone, you were downloading the old version.Duel practice is a good idea Dark, I'll note that one down. also the load function doesnt work because its a demo. Saving and loading isnt implemented yet. Also quests are in the work section.Thanks a lot for the supportive comments, they mean a lot.

Hi Guys,I've revised the playable demo for the arcane duels based on all of your feedback.To recap, the game is about you being accepted into the arcane duels. I appreciate the offer.Its sounds a like a top down navigation is the way to go. so left actually mvoes you left, and right moves you right.But how would we prefer to know the location of things around us? do we only stick to objects that make sounds? which limits us and makes walls an issue. Or a TTS message that only plays when we bump into them? or a button that makes all the objects around us tell us what they are? I want to make a little mock up of it and try some things out.

Maybe. The pitch does change abit. Maybe I can make it better. I had the same issue with other languages using OpenAL. Which I think is what gamemaker uses. OpenAL is pretty popular though so maybe its me not using it right.

Yeah I was considering that as well. I did trial that sort of navigation as well. But I found didnit so the orientation was always forward. So it was hard to hear if something was in front or behind. I'm thinking of releasing a revised demo with all of these fixes to make sure we have it right. Rather than just assume. But yeah. Maybe first person is a bit uneeded for this. In sure I can make it just as immersive without being able to look around.

Hey ArceusGlad you found the mini games. I was starting to panic there was a very strange bug floating around.Yeah it seems some audio balancing is needed. I'll make sure that gets corrected.Quest navigation is definlty to most highlighted issue. And I'm going to play with some ideas to improve that or just completely overhaul it.Yeah you can't check on your charisma and stuff yet but you will in the full game.I didnt plan on adding to the spells but I'm always open to suggestions if you feel the current selections need something more.And as the dexterity. Police work is considered to be quite dexterous. I literally had to Google dexterous jobs because I couldn't think of a career path for dexterity. But there are 10 positions in each career. So its more about the career that gives you dexterity than the actual job. That was my thought process on it anyway

Ok there's a few points to go through here, sorry If I miss anything. Just prod me.Stewie, I'll add skippable cutscenes, it would help with replay ability.Computer Gamer, there is already going to be a setting for music volume I just haven't made the game settings menu yet.The TTS volume would be painful to alter at this point considering how many there are. They are all separate audio files.But it could be worth the effort. I would have to increase all of their volumes and then add a setting so the player can alter them and bring the volume down to whatever they want.Jack, obviously the feedback is clear, the navigating isn't good enough. I'm wondering if its worth overhauling the whole thing. Maybe a waypoint/path system would be better that still allows the player to look around. I'll play with a few ideas.Defender, you never disappoint. I think I will make all menus capable of using W A S D or Arrow keys. So its player's choice. And just use space to go into sub menus maybe to stop that confusion.There are instructions for each mini game but that might not be sufficient, and I was aiming to have quests all work the same regarding the navigation, A and D  to turn and W for forward. but I might go back to the drawing board with that, so hopefully not every quest will need a demo. Maybe a little audio clip over the mini games being played with instructions over the top would help. There are no walls in the arenas, and W doesn't do anything. the only mechanics for duelling are A and D to movearound your opponent and the number keys to cast spells. Maybe the grizzly bear hurt noise is to quiet. I think maybe a few opponent noises are to quiet so maybe the audio distancing needs adjusting. Such as  footsteps as well, they seem quiet.Learning sounds for mini games is a good suggestion, It might be worth just adding that in with the demos.The  Experience menu in the spell menu is broken, it was pointed out to me earlier. There is another place you can check experience in the player menu. that one works. The reason it is also in the spell menu is just for quick access. I'd like to hear more detail about how the mini games are too simplistic if that's possible. obviously I don't want toover complicate them but I also don't want them to be boring. so I'm finding the line in-between them both, and feedback from you guys is the most helpful tool to make sure I get it right.Arcues - you should have had 7 mini games available in the training list? not just air. If you press W and S do no more options get spoken to you?if you press space constantly you probably went passed it. It gives a little noise when you enter or exit the target area. maybe that needs to be a more persistent noise

Oh bugger. I forgot about the xp bug. You can also view your exp in the player menu. That one works. I forgot the exp menu in the spell learning menu was broken. I copied it in there so you didn't have to go all the way to the player menu. Ill be sure to fix that.Definitly sounds like navigation needs a bit of work. The reason I didnt use a sound for every object is because it starts sounding extremely busy. And also some objects just don't make sounds. But I did add little sounds just for ambience. Such as birds and squirrels rustling around in certain areas. Maybe they don't stand out enough.I also think descriptions for opponents is a good idea. I will find somewhere to include that. I was also thinking having an option to use gold to spy on your next opponent. So you can learn their behaviours and what spells they know and can prepare properlySome opponents fidget more than others and more randomly. Some dodge more than use barriers. Some use a lot of buffs or debuffs etc.ir prefer one type of element.Really appreciate the responses. It will help make the game better. Thank you all so much.

You spend your days training, questing and working to get stronger and get better equipment etc. You get more famous and make impactful decisions through out the game.The controls are W A S D keys for navigating around, use space to select things and use A and D to go in and out of sub menus.Press A on the over menu to hear your gold and how many days until your next duel.There are of course some parts of the game that still need work, this is to show off the concept. Music has been limited to avoid license issues.I'll be interested to see what people think of the parts of the game where you actually walk around, as I've tried a method of having the game tell you what is in front of you, but it plays the TTS on the object, so its louder when you are closer. Hopefully that works well but I'll let you decide.I have done a lot of testing, but please let me know if you find any issues.I'm looking forward to seeing what you all think, I'm sure this will only be the first draft of the game. I'm just putting together a list of names that you can choose from at the beginning of the game, the name you choose will be what other characters call you as you get more famous, and its what you will be called in the news. Its also the name you will be introduced with when you duel. Things such as Firelord, High Caster, Shadow and Slayer come to mind.And I was wondering if anyone had suggestions they would like to put forward for names they would like if they played the game.

I think its definitly fair to say the GDE could do with more attention. Its just a much larger task to take on at the moment. But I have had this discussion before and completely agree. It could be changed into a PC game making platform.Its a good tool to get new developers into the logical mind set of game development. It could help get more games into the market in the long run by simply getting people interested.I'm not done with the GDE yet. I will revisit it one day. Maybe after the Arcane Duels as a little break before starting my next game. Or whatever the future holds.

I'm glad it sounds like its worth the money. The truth is I have no idea what the real price will be yet. I just have a target that may or may not be realistic. But I'm a single developer with not many overheads so if I can get away with making it cheaper I will. It all comes down the sales forecast. Which at the moment the only thing I have to go by are thing such as twitter followers. Or people who actually message to say they will buy it. So I'm forecasting about 6 sales at the moment lol.

Thanks a lot for all the responses and help everyone.In case anyone wants to know a bit more about the spells, I thought it might be worth writing up whats spells you can learn in which categories and how they can be used. So you know what to expect from the game. Its a fair bit of readings but its here for anyone who wants to know about it.These are off the top of my head so apologies if i miss any.Fire Spells:Fireball is a classic, send a ball of fire to the opponent which also has a chance of period burn damage.Ring of Fire, surrounds you opponents to limit their movement and keep them in one place.Rain of Fire, a powerful spell to swarm you opponent with fire attacks.Smoke, Engluf the area you are in with smoke, increasing your evasion chance.Water Spells (these remove the burn effect from your opponent):Water Bolt, a simple projectile bolt of water to case water damage.Tide, an area attack that will damage and move your opponent. Useful for knocking them out of barriers (protection spells).Freeze, projectile to slow your opponents movement down.Storm, swarm the enemy with water attacks.Earth Spells:Quake, area attack that causes damage as long as the opponent stands on top of it.Boulder, a projectile earth attack.Vine, are attack that hold the opponent in place for a while (they can escape with teleport, or earth barrier).Poison, weak imapct damage but good damage over time.Air Spells:Gust, a projectile damage attack that can also knock opponents out of barrier and move them.Deflect, use wind to knock projectile attacks back to opponents.Wind Walk, increase your movement speed.Hurricane, swarm the enemy with air attacks.Mind Spells:Stun, projectile attack to stun your oppoennt for a short while.Distort, area attack to reduce your opponents accuracy.Elemental Null, these are actuall 4 spells, one for each element, if they hit they prevent the opponent from casting that category of spell for a while.Manipulation Spells (these spell manipulate the world around you):Light, blind the opponent to reduce their accuracy.Darkness, sheet the battle ground in darkness, which loweres both yourself and your opponents accuracy. Useful if you need a bit of time to use healing spells. Or you can use this spell and then use clear sight on yourself to regain your accuracy.Invisible, increase your evasion.Teleport, quickly get out of the way, a great dodging spell.Aid Magic:Clear sight, restore your accuracy.Restore, heal some health.Antidote, remove the poison effect.Element Barrier, there are 5 barrier spells for fire,water,earth,air and mind. It creates a bubble around you that wont allow any of those elemental attacks through.All spells have different attributes that can be upgraded, such as cooldown times, damage, projectile speed. Area coverage and more.

Hey Shane.There won't be a huge amount of dialog. Mostly in quests. Which I hadn't budgeted for. But considered it most likely won't be a lot. I might consider that when the game finished and just replace the sound files. It all depends how much is needed. I havent written all the quests yet. They take time since they have different endings and different routes you can take through them.Hi SLJ.Its being built for Windows with room to adapt it to android if needed. Perhaps iPhone. The issue it a licenses. The software I use to build the games is subscription based. Its cheap for Windows development. Android is around £100 but xbox is about £400As for spells. They are explained in the game.Unless you want a full breakdown of each spell and how they are used. I could write that up for you. It just might be a bit long

So for now at least I've swapped my focus on to just creating games. Maybe when things return a little more to normal. Whatever normal is. I was hoping sometime early or mid next year.Put that also depends on the feedback I get along the way. A lot of the foundation work is done. I just need to make all the opponents. The events and quests etc. And then the fine tuning.I also want to play with the idea of multiplayer. Which could add a lot of work on.

Thanks Toto. A bit more detail about the game. there are stats that are just used for questing. Kind of like a dungeons and dragons format. Strength. Dexterity. Charmisma and Intelligence.You can use these skills in quests. Such as talking you way out of a fight with Charisma. The higher your skill. The better chance you have of succeeding.Each stat has a career path. When you work you increase that skill and gain money. Such as the charisma skill. You start as a poet scribe and can work your way up to being an actor and so on. This career path also helpsgain a bit of fame (which has many effects. Including the gold you gain from your duels)

Oops. Sorry about that Timothy. Thanks got spotting that one. I'll get that fixed as soon as I can.That's understandable RTT. I will most likely release more demos to show off other parts of the game and make sure people are happy with it. The game is for you guys after all. You need to like it. Future demos will probably have a bit more to them. Such as an actual duel. Which is mostly finished.As for development time. I have no idea. It's very much a spare time project. And I'd just be risking disappointing people if I made a deadline. But I can always keep you updated on how far along it is.

Hi guys,I've had a little side project going for a while now and I'm looking for a bit of feedback if anyone has the time.I will give a brief overview of the whole game and then talk about the demo.I'm building a game based on magic duels (single player). Where every so many days you are required to participate in a magical duel. Where you will win gold and experience etc and also increase your magical rank and work your way up the list.Between duels you will need to manage your time between quests, training, working a job for money and even random event with choices that can alter your fame and reputation.The player has 7 magic types, each with their own experience points and spells.They are. the elemental types. Fire, water, earth and air. Some opponent may be strong to certain elements and have the needed counter spells. some may not. You can spend money to research your opponent before fighting them to find their tactics and weaknesses.The other 3 spell types are. Aid, for healing and defensive spells. Although other categories can still have defensive spells, such as the air spell type has a spell called deflect which can use a gust to knock back projectiles.Manipulate which is a spell category to manipulate yourself or the battle field, such as making it dark or teleporting to dodge.and finally mind spells. which attack the opponents mind. These can be used to null an opponents ability to use a certain spell type or distort them making them less accurate etc.I have made the mini games for training Water and Earth. The demo starts with a simple menu where you can select a mini game using the S and W keys for up and down. Each mini game has the option to play or explain the rules. and they will give you a score and experience at the end. The experience is useless in the demo though. You can select the difficulty for the game as well which in the real game is actually the gym level. you can spend money to upgrade your gym to give better experience but it makes the games slightly harder.If anyone would like to check out the little mini game demo the link is below. The chest and potions arent permanent though. They can be collected and removed so it's best to imagine they arnt there.It could be just the player and an ambient sound. With a 30 second walk to the nearest sound which is the shop. Which seems long to me.So clearly myself and sean need a third opinion. And who better than the players

Yeah maybe we need an example. How about im in the woods. The game will use various sound markers to help the player navigate. One marker could be an owl in a tree hooting every now and again, and the other is a creaky sign. We might know that further right of the creaky sign leads out of the woods. and we know the creaky sign is right of the owl hooting.If I'm at the hooting owl, How long do you think it should take to get to the creaky sign? My concern is players feeling like they are just holding a button down and being bored. Which is why im more in favour of a more compact enviroment. that doesnt mean a small enviroment, but one with plenty of audio markers near each other. Maybe 3 to 5 seconds inbetween each.

Thanks for the responses guys. Do you think you would be able to put a number to how far you would need to be walking between objects for it to feel barren. For example if you could hear the  nearest object to you over to the right. (A shop door with a fountain outside is our example). How long do you think it should take to get there to make sure it doesn't feel barren? 10 seconds? 5? Or maybe just 2?Sorry for being a bit picky with the answer. But hopefully a game worth playing will come out of it. One developed by listening to the players.

A quick question about map spacing

Hi Guys.We.are working on an RPG game and need a bit of direction on how to build the maps.So I thought it would be best to make sure we get the opinions of who the game is being built for.Do players prefer maps where objects are spaced further apart and require more walking. Or would people prefer to have maps a bit more compact. Making objects quicker to reach?The amount of content on the maps is the same. The only difference is the walking time  between things.

Well this thread is becoming and interesting read.#34 caught my attention as it sounds there are some things I could improve on. I've tried to get feedback on the tutorials before but never really gotten much back.I noticed you disapproved of the interface but it sounded like that was just an impression from the tutorials? Have you used the GDE? And if so what do you dislike about the interface.There are menus to select actions but there are also hot keys and GDE script that let's you write out the actions instead.How could I make the written tutorials easier to follow?

there's been quite a few responses and I've quickly looked through and written a response for what concerns I could see. please prod me if I missed anything.#3 Audio encryption is a concern that has been raised before. It's something to be looked into. havent gotten around to it yet but of course peoples work should be protected#9 The GDE's existance doesnt take anything away from programming. the GDE was made with programming. Its a tool with the goal to increase the amount of audio games that are made, by making the creation easier.#13 I would argue the GDE does teach something useful. I myself got into game design by using game making tools. But teaching programming isnt the aim of the GDE. although it is a good step towards getting into the mindset of how to create the logic. #15 If functions didnt work as intended that would be a bug, which hopefully would be reported and fixed#16 If the GDE doesnt do something, suggestions are always welcome. There is always plenty on the update list. but of course I understand the point. The GDE is a game making tool and not a programming language, so if you wanted to do something really unique, the GDE wouldn't be the tool for you. that doesnt mean it isnt the tool for a lot of other people who want to make more conventional games. There was a discussion a while ago about adding a python script action, perhaps this needs to be reconsidered. Although security then becomes a concern.In conclusion. The GDE is a tool for making games easier and simpler. Of course a porgramming language can do more, a programming language does more than just build games after all. but the overall aim is to simply increase the amount of audio games out there. By making it faster for existing developers and easier for new developers to pick up.If a good game can be made, really who cares how it is made. as long as it is fun.And out of curiousity, is a lot of these critical comments about the idea of the GDE or have you actually used it as well? I'm always looking for feedback and you are clearly a very capable group.I would sincerely like to thank you for this discussion so far, it gives me plenty to think about.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. I would quite like to focus on the more critical comments if people dont mind humouring me.I notice people tend to disapprove of the fact the GDE doesnt use a programming language.I was hoping maybe to get a bit more detail as to why. A programming language is designed for multiple applications. Not just games. The GDE just aims to make the process simpler. And is purpose built for games.Even one of the most popular game engines unreal has a graphical scripting language to make the process simpler for their developers. It's the logic that's remains the challenge for developers.I'd love to hear thoughts on this.

Hi everyone. I have a question regarding walls in our game.  It was said before to make walls give off a sound. However this could be a bit overwhelming if there are a lot of them. I would love to hear any input on this.I was thinking of a sound that only appear when you are near a wall, and plays on the actual player. Not the wall. And also becomes more intense the closer you get to the wall.Let me know what you think

There is a lot of truth to what Xeron says. Although I genuinely want to create something that pleases everyone, one of my most valuable resources at the moment is time. And that time must be invested in value added tasks. Unfortunately making a PC version falls low on that priority list. However you never know what the future holds. But for now the console remains the top priority.The console is not yet released. I'm in the process of acquiring final quotes for the enclosure before putting together the investment proposal. This has taken much longer than anticipated.The more support the project gets obviously increases its chances of success. So please use the "get one"page if you would like. Or follow us on facebook or twitter. It's all positive in the eyes of an investor.It's nice to see people using and enjoying the GDE. I'm always happy to hear feedback. New features are on the way. Including rotating the listener. And as always if anyone needs help with their projects feel free to drop me a message using whatever medium you want. I would love to see what people are making.

Hi Ambro. At the moment there are no walls. But that's something we will definitely think about when we get to that stage.As for combat. It will be live action. The demo shows a brief fight with a spider where I use button 1 to attack and hold button 2 to block.

Hi guys,I havent checked back o nthe forum for a while but cam across this post. My name is Aaron Parsons and I'm the developer for the sonus project.I thought I would just drop a message to answer a few questions.I have been working on the console itself for a while so focus has been away from the GDE. I am planning on allowing users of the PCP to choose their own keys but it will still be limited to 9 buttons plus a pause.Th console obviously has limited buttons where as a keyboard contains a lot more. how most games for consolesincrease their options for the player is by pairing buttons.such as button 1 could be an attack, but if you hold button 5 and 1 together that could be a magic attack. There is a tutorial to make a beat em up game but its only got 2 videos so far. I will be picking that up gain at some point. there are links to video tutorials on the sonus website on the GDE page.As for contacting me for support. we have a facebook page and twitter page, or email which can be found the webstie.Its a bit hard to pin some time down for a verbal conversation but I have done this before. Of course any message sent to me by any of these methods i wil ltry to get to as quick as possible and help out in anyway I can.thanks for the interest.

It sounds like the openal installer could be better. Which is a shame as it is only one buttone click that is needed. Unfortunately that installer isn't mine and I cant alter it.I'm unsure about screen readers but another user tells me they used object navigation to get around it. Is this an option?

I've just tried it myself and it's worked ok for me. So its rather something that's different with our systems or perhaps something simple.Just to run through what I did. I Installed the PCP along with the frame work and openal that are included in the install package. I downloaded the witch hunt game. Extracted the game. I then opened the PCP and clicked load. Selected the folder that had now been created from the extraction. And pressed play.The folder selected contained all the dat files and the InitObject file.You more than likely have already done all that yourself but I need to double check. As there isn't really an reason it shouldn't be working. It sounds like the PCP is running fine but failing the find the game in the folder. You aren't selecting the audio folder are you? Because that wouldn't be recognised as a game.For it to say there is no game loaded it can only be one of 2 things. No directory is selected at all and the path is blank. Or the game is already running. Did the message only appear if you pressed lmay twice. As maybe the game was loading?

Sure black mana. I can make a video for that. To make a random variable you just use the random variable actions. For example, if you have a local variable called Rand that you want to be between 1 and 5. Use the set random local variable action and input the number 1 for the minimum value and input 5 for the maximum value. Then after the action is fired. The Rand variable will equal anywhere between 1 and 5

Some of the games uploaded arnt for the pcp. I noticed someone uploaded some stand alone games. I'm going to add a game type column for PCP sonus and other.The witch hunt game should work though. Are you selecting the folder that contains the Init file in it with a bunch of .dat files and a folder called audio?

It looks like you need the second link Timothy.Yeah that's no problem Ghaith. It's very simple anyway. You put the contents of the game folder on a memory stick. And plug it in. When powering up it will look for the game and start playing it. But when it comes time to build sonus games I'll be sure you do a demonstration of this as each game needs uploading to the store to have a key file put on it. The PCP doesn't worry about this as piracy isn't a concern.

A card game is very much possible. What kind of game did you have in mind? Perhaps I could do a little tutorial to get it started for you.The installation error is one I haven't had to deal with personally but it should be a straight forward fix.Download the compiler from the Microsoft website. Hi guys.I'm going to try and start up a YouTube series to show how to make games using the Sonus GDE.I asked before what small game people would like to be made and a common response was a sort of fighting game. Sorry Ghaith. No there isn't. You wouldn't want the GDE project publishing anyway. You would want the built game to be published. Which you do by clicking on file and pressing build. Then select PCP, the other option is to build it for the Sonus which is pointless right now. Then compress your game folder and share it that way. You can also upload it onto the store if you want. You could also include the PCP install package in the compressed folder if you wished

All these games sound great. I would love to make them all. I know we want larger projects and that is coming. But for now smaller games help test the waters with the GDE and PCP.A big RPG with open world and various skills and mini features with am in depth story is the ultimate personal goal.And of course dont forget you can try game development yourself with the GDE.I think to begin with I will start with a best em up/action game as it has been mentioned quite a few times. Where you can level up and progress in equipment and strength as you continue through the game. People have mentioned vehicles and mounts a couple of times. So I'll try and get that included to.But keep coming with the ideas if you have them. Because I dont think the beat em up will take long to finish

The sonus console is still a prototype. But the Sonus PCP is the PC version.The PCP can be downloaded from www.sonusinteractive.co.uk on the GDE page.And games are available at store.sonusinteractive.co.uk/index.phpExtract the downloaded game which will make a folder. Start the PCP and point the PCP at the folder. Then click play.  WASD to move and 1 2 3 4 5are action buttons.Also it you want to try making games yourself. The GDE can be downloaded to and there are tutorials on the website as well. No programming needes

I was thinking multiple characters to play as. As well as unlockables. I think inventory makes it a bit more strategic. Spells/abilities. I think. I might start on this tonight. Hopefully about and hour of gameplay. And see how long it takes to make. I'm hoping, if I can get enough hours a day on it. It should only take a month or so
