Hi Michael. Though this is primarily a site about accessible games, yes obviously a lot of tech gets discussed here to. The thread about the pay with chip marketplace is here and if you can allay some people's concerns I think that might be appreciated. @brooks, hello and welcome to the forum, hope you have fun. Btw, You might want to think about trying a more efficient way of making posts than relying on Siri's ability with dictation, since as you noticed dictation can be a bit screwy, and this is a discussion forum after all, so perhaps using a windows pc or getting a bluetooth keyboard for your Iphone might be helpful. Either way, hope you find some good games to play an enjoy being here.

Hi Oryx. I've seen Armageddon mud on the mud connector and the setting sounded intreaguing, there are certainly plenty of mudders here and some who really enjoy rp and perhaps have even tried Armageddon before so your likely to find what your looking for. though Armageddon has been around for a while I'd recommend you put a topic about the game in new releases as we haven't had a specific discussion of it here, and that way you can also ask about accessibility type matters. I am not sure about audiogames that would  teach such a young child who hasn't presently spoken English. www.7-128.com have some available I believe, however if you post a topic in general game discussion its likely people will have ideas, especially as we have several members who are from Thailand who speak both Thai and English  thus might be in a good position to discuss the language issue. @Dan welcome to the forum, glad you liked my list, Mrs. Dark is getting to be quite a fan of caves under thorn hill .The list was more intended as a guideline since while it is eventually planned to add as many alexa aps to the audiogames.net database on this site as I  there aren't that many of us who are working on it . Discussion of what makes an audiogame engaging though is just the sort of thing we'd be up for here, so feel free to post a topic in general game discussion and you'll likely get some interesting opinions (I have some myself).

You'll find some interesting things here since  the majority of games discussed here are based on sound or accessible to screen reading programs used by blind and visually impared people, so are a different experience to graphical games,  a good friend of mine said Shades of doom, the audio doom clone was actually far more scary than the original due to the lack of sound. ~Don't forget to check out the database of games on the front of site, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

@mattlanger90, Strayl1ght and Blindwise, hello and wlcome to the forum hope you all have a  time. @Joe80, My apologies at the moment one of the problems with the restriction system is that only people with admin rights can actually unrestrict accounts, that prety much means just me at the second, since Richard and Sander are busy with their other game access work. I guarantee to check the forum and the restricted topic at least once a day (often more frequently than that), but unfortunately your replies fell in between me checking yesterday morning and this morning, hence the longer wait. Hi gjp1311 I'm quite a fan of text based games myself and very much enjoy Warsim, hope you have fun on the forum. Bare in mind since the focus here is games accessible to visually impaired and blind people you won't find discussion of too many types of games here other than in terms of their accessibility. Santuary rpg for example sounds great, but sadly ascii art and screen reading programs don't mix very well.

@kdechant Hi and welcome. As you might gather from the Eamon wiki and some of the Eamon deluxe news letters from 2012, I was actually involved in a lot of the Eamon deluxe play testing myself and am a huge fan of the system. It'd be really great to have a version of Eamon accessible to all online that doesn't require dos emulation etc, especially if it can encoorporate a lot of Frank Black's Edx fixes, e.g the extended Edx text main hall rather than the graphical one. Either way welcome to the forumm, I look forward to discussing Eamon with you.

Apologies to everyone for being a little late in responding, I was away over the weekend and not able to check the forums.@pyrite,  Frequency  of posting is entirely up to you, nice to have a new member whether you post once or a hundred times, hope you have fun. @Accman, welcome, hopefully we can provide  help with  whichever   game your stuck on,  as for new releases, this is  certainly the place  to find  out about such. @Shane, welcome to the forum. I will say this place isn’t about blindness specifically, though obviously it’s a matter that gets discussed (especially in our offtopic room), but we’re mainly focused on games, still hope you have a good time here. @Falling squirrel, we’re always up for more accessible rpgs, as it’s a genre with sadly not many  accessible examples at the moment (I’m a big rpg fan myself). Well we have discussed the matter  and basically decided that since we've not had a huge alts problem uptonow having a professional account as opposed to a personal one is fine.  obviously if things get misused we might need to rethink, but as it hasn't been an issue there's no point borrowing trouble. so the punchbag studios account is now unrestricted, look forward to seeing your gamebooks.

I'll ask the rest of the mods what they think, since while I do see the logic of having a personal and professional account if you wanted to separate matters, at  the same time,  we don't want a situation where people create many alts to  cause chaos, and I do recall one circumstance in the past  where a user used an alt account to basically complain about his ban from the  forum. There is a lot around, so you should be busy for a long time, also  the vast majority of the xp games will play fine on Windows 10 too (I think the bsc titles are the only ones that have major issues), so you should find a lot of things to play. @Mehdi, there is no need to create extra accounts, just tell me what is the problem with your Mehdi account and we can get it fixed, indeed if it's just a forgotten password the forum will help you with that on it's own (there is a "forgot password link" at login.

Well since most bots are! asses, or programmed by asses, logically you could not both be a bot and get off a bot at the same time, a state of affairs whether we consider "ass" to mean Donkey, foolish person or indeed the bottom.To expand, a donkey sitting upon another donkey would be causing the first donkey a lot of pain, and while bots are of course a pain in the ass, they cannot both be a pain in the ass and cause a pain in the ass since I think  that breaks causality. If  we take the second case and we assume "ass" to mean fool, then it does seem logically possible for a fool  sit on another fool.  since spambots are however intended to take in fools, we would have a situation where something which was itself a fool was trying to take in another fool, which seems to cause an infinite regression and lead to some sort of fool event horizon, which again results in universal destruction. Finally, if we take the third meaning of "ass" and assume it to mean a person's bottom, then it is quite plane that a bottom cannot be on top of another bottom, since whatever is on top would logically cease to be a bottom, and therefore not an ass, and we are quite aware as I stated earlier that all spambots are asses.So it is not logically possible for you to be a spambot! @Origine welcom, yep it's an exciting time for audiogames at the moment, indeed keeping up with the news etc is rather a task at the moment lol. I'm also glad you like the Christmas title contest. it was a random idea I came up with, since  we've never had a contest before, but I thought it'd be fun. I didn't want to just  do a lottery or something like that, and when talking it over with my lady she suggested something creative, hence the idea, (plus it saves people from more of my terrible puns). We've had some good ones so far, but the more the merrier, though it'll make judging them interesting. @Ciri, hope you have fun. I will say the forum has changed a lot since I registere 12 years ago, back in the days when one release a month was good goin. [[wow]], that makes me feel old .

Hello Vga and welcome. this is certainly the right place to come, both for access tips, and to  find people up for playing your games, since as you might gather, we sort of like games around here . Actually nice to know there is a subreddit  about  vi accessible gaming, I'd not heard that, we probably should   have a link to them somewhere on the main site. @Hardy.Jeff, this is a forum devoted to audiogames, ie, games using sound accessible to blind and visually impared people. If your interested in this subject  your very welcome, however I'm afraid at the moment I'm not entirely sure whether your a human or not, given that you have posted essentially the same message twice and don't really mention anything about yourself or about audiogames (I'm afraid I have no idea who jeff Hardy is and given most users on this forum are blind, playing games on consoles like the Wii is an interesting prospect to say the least). if you are indeed a human and would like your account to be unrestricted, please feel free to set me straight and say a little more.

@Marco,  Well as you've been a good spambot you can become a real boy .Seriously, you'd be surprised how necessary  restricting accounts is, we've had quite the infestation some times and this is a good way of keeping it down as well  letting people introduce themselves, albeit it's a little less convenient for legitimate members. Hope you have fun on the forum. @Draak, I know your work well, indeed methinks  I have benifited from your restores in the past on Alteraeon, as well as playing through bits of the game you've created. Hi Dayvil. Voice tracks for animated characters sounds like a fascinating idea, so feel free to discuss it wherever is relevant. Fyi, this topic isn't about verrifying your email address so much as making sure your a human being and not a bot by what you post. Unfortunately we've had issues with bots posting a lot of rubbish on the forum, so now we make sure people are actually human beings interested in games and the sort of stuff we do here rather than automated programs just interested in spreading spam. @stasp, please let us know you are actually a human and not a bot. You don't need to write a massive introduction essay, but just something that doesn't sound pregenerated, eg, if you have an interest in audiogames, what games you've played, are a developer etc. At the moment I'm afraid all you've said in your first post is a name and a skype contact, and a few random letters in your second post so I am not sure. We have had issues with spambots on this forum, which is the reason for this system, particularly since it's hopefully less intrusive or inaccessible  than one of those dreadful automated capchas.Hi bookrage and welcome. I'm something of a literature enthusiast myself (I also write book reviews for fantasybookreview.co.uk), and I'm certainly not the only one around here. Feel free to pass on any game news, we're certainly not omniscient where games are concerned and always appreciate hearing about something new.

Kool turk is right, and I can say this system is working. Spambots can't post spam topics anymore, even in this forum, the most they can do is reply to this thread with a spam post which are easily got rid of, it's not like having to wander the hole forum looking in each room for spam topics or topics that spambots have replied to and deleting the posts individually.

Hello and welcome to the forum. That sounds fantastic, I read over the instructions for   junction   gate myself and  it sounded amazing, though I've not tried the game yet owing to being rather busy moving house at the moment. We have  been looking for an accessible single player  complex space exploration game for a long while, since the majority of accessible browser ones have been very  heavy on the pvp.So it's great your looking  making the game accessible. The junction gate topic can be found  the new releases room, and I'll be glad to try the game myself as well.
