I need a png file Hi.I'm doing the nathantech html tutorials, and I'm on lesson 5 and one of the things I need to do is get a png image to put into my website. I need an image of a dragon, and I can't find a download of this myself for some reason. I've tried searching for downloadable dragon images with different browsers, the result is always the same, I can't seem to find a download link and when I do it usually doesn't work. Or if there is a link it just says graphic numerous times and I can't figure out what it is.I'm so fed up right now I really don't care what kind of image I get I just need some kind of image so I can go on. Needless to say it's not as easy as getting it off google, maybe if your sighted that's the case, but I'm totally blind, and am clueless when it comes to images of any kind.If somebody would be kind enough to post a direct download link to an image, dragon or not i'd really appreciate it. It’s a dreadful book about political battles in the 1950s, it’s advertised as a historical thriller, but it‘s slow moving and it’s main character is an idealistic young congressman who gets swept up into struggles between other politicos. i hate reading this, but since i have spent two days reading i feel compelled to finish the thing. I’m glad it’s november because where i live, for the past few years we have had numerous wildfires. We haven’t been burned out yet, but the wildfires have come close to our area several times. Some backround so i can read tom clancy Hello everyone. Years ago i tried to read patriot games by tom clancy. I didn’t understand the conflicts between the irish, english, and welsh or the politics that goes along with it. For those of you who might not know patriot games is about an attempt to kidnap the prince and princess of wales and it’s aftermath. I live in america and have a pretty good grasp on american history, but i’m not too knowledgeable about the history of other countries. I would really like to start reading tom clancy but i think i’m in over my head, since the book was written in the 1980s before i was born so whatever went on i didn’t go through. . Just put the pod in, press one of the drink size buttons, in about a minute you've got your coffee! Simple as that, I started using a keurig as an alternative to having to brew coffee myself because I could never get it quite right. On a happier note i started a new book called the sweetness at the bottom of the pie by alan bradley. I decided to read this book because i was confused as to what kind of book it is. I tried earlier and the install worked just fine, and your right it is less confusing.A couple of questions, what is the command to power the vm off and on? In the file menu it doesn't seem to show keyboard shortcuts. Also orca doesn't power on as it should, why is this? I press super+s after waiting a bit for start-up, I heard a drum sound but no speaking?. This caused me problems because without NVDA or orca speaking, I had to force the computer to shutdown, which I don't like to do. Virtualbox question Hello.I've been wanting to try Linux for a long time now. I've installed virtualbox and the virtualbox extension pack on my windows 7 laptop. I've gotten the latest Ubuntu disk image. I found a guide that tells you how to install Ubuntu here . I followed the steps to create a virtual machine in virtualbox. I setup everything until I get to step ten. I realize you have to install the image into virtualbox, but when I get to step ten I don't understand what they are talking about. Could you please help me so I can get Linux going? I'm pretty sure I've setup everything correctly, it's just that last part that confuses me. Also I read to start orca you press the windows/super key+s is this still the case? Problem installing virtual box
Problem installing virtual box Hello.I wanted to install virtual box so I could install and play around with Linux a bit. I'm hitting a snag though. I'm using a del windows 7 laptop with NVDA. I get into the setup of virtual box 6 and it works, when I get to the part about taking the computer offline to install I say yes and press the install button. After I hear no progress beeps and looking with the cursor I see no progress output. After a few seconds if I alt tab, a window pops up that says windows security but that's all I can see. I have a feeling that window is the problem because if I press enter or click on it, it says the installation of virtual box ended prematurely. Face ID and no home button are mostly the things that will probably confuse you at first. After using the phone for a while you get the hang of it real quick.Somebody sneakily pointing the phone at you to unlock it is a real possibility, though luckily I haven't had that happen myself. I don't think apple considered that, but you will just have to be careful of what you do with the phone.Other than what others have mentioned, I can't think of anything else at you will need to know, but if you have any questions that come up, just ask. A Question about the October Daye series Hi.I like urban fantasy a lot, and I've enjoyed most of the books I've read. I looked at Seanan McGuire's books recently, and they look very intriguing. My question about October Daye is can she use magic? This won't stop me from reading the series, but I've googled the magic system in the series and can find nothing.The reason I ask this is because I don't like fantasies where everyone can use magic except the main character. When I read something like this, it frustrates me that whatever you learn about the magic system, everything is second hand. All gigs aren't that way, but you need to be prepared for something like that. Sometimes it's also necessary to bring an extra amp, but while playing a gig it's more likely you'll bust a string or two. If he's only practicing, he could just take it to get strung, until he can do it himself. Re: Books by Stephen King Oh the cat from hell! I'll admit the title is too obvious, but the cat and especially the end made me laugh and feel sick at the same time. My grandparents had my sister's cats when I read this story, I kept picturing myself being the Hitman and I couldn't go near them for a while.The new York times story was too strange to be good I always thought. James describing the station and the doors that surround it brought to mind the dark tower doorways. King seems to have a weird obsession with afterlife dimensions, this story and some others have the same feel. Maybe he's expressing his fear of the afterlife in stories because what lies beyond death is unknowable to us all. I never lived in New York, but I saw the news breaks as they were happening and I remember thinking what next, is this the end of the world? I've been afraid to fly ever since. But the story captures the horror and pain of 9/11 so well.Graduation afternoon was okay, the nuclear thing I didn't like, but the way king writes the scene of the explosion and the aftermath work very well. I remember in the 80s and 90s, there were threats of nuclear war from the soviets and others, so after a while it feels old, but the story still worked for me.N was great, I remember when I first read it I was going to church that night, and the story scared me so badly I was very glad to be somewhere like that. I've always assumed that cthun was one of the leatherheads mentioned in under the dome, I just wondered at the time where the giant eye and the thing with heads for teeth were. Maybe they were gone when they entered that dimension at the end of under the dome. I've always liked the idea of a story within a story, so I loved the way n was presented. The people who read n in the audiobook do a great job, especially when doing the voice of cthun. When I look back, the imagery feels so clear, the field, the stone circle, even the sign, "ackerman's field, no hunting." The story doesn't explain who or what ackerman is, but that would've been interesting to know along with everything else. I brought it to my high school and my teacher's aid was kind enough to scan it into a text file for me. Pickering is so crazy it's very funny, before he leaves he talks to himself as if he's getting instructions from someone or something. I really enjoyed the running aspect of the story, especially since I was running track at the time. Later when just after sunset was published I got to read gingerbread girl in audiobook form, which I liked even more. The end I loved especially because Pickering is undone by something that most people learn how to do when they are children.Willa I liked okay, but to me it was another king exploration of the afterlife, which felt like old news to me at the time.A Honky-tonk is a bar, usually with a country western theme. They have country singers and bands, and people are dressed in a country style, boots, leather, like that. I've been to a few, and where I live now there are some in the area. First when I put in a DVD some info pops up, but when I look at what I can copy in the list it shows title numbers, for example title 1, 2 and so on. How do I get it to show the DVDs names of things like names of episodes, special features and things like that? I read in the manual that you have to enter the medidata manually, but I couldn't do that myself without sighted assistance. Then how do I copy audio description off dvds? I can convert DVDS to mp3s with no problem, but I can't figure out how to turn on the audio description feature. I know, silly questions, but things like that aren't discussed on the program's website. How to get and copy my machine ID? HI.I've tried everything, this is a last resort thing. I bought the DVD audio extractor, It needs the machine ID so it can be registered properly. I've gone to several websites, it says all you need to do is go to command prompt and type in a command, ipinfo /all, I did that and it comes up, however I can't do anything to copy it to the clipboard or even read it properly. I'm using windows 7 with the latest version of NVDA installed. People always say to use object nav or screen review but I never got the hang of that. Is there an easier way to get my machine ID? They do say that the beams will multiply, gilead will return, and if roland had left it at that things might have turned out okay.I remember reading the gunslinger, the ageless stranger and the beast were mentioned at the end, I was excited to read more and learn more about them. In the afterword of the original, king says that if roland makes it to the tower, he may meet martin there and finally get his revenge. Of course we know this doesn't happen, and the fact that king makes martin and walter one, bothers me a lot. I'd like to think martin was on a whole other level than walter. It's odd, but although king gets rid of the idea of the beast, in the waste lands, there is a scene where eddie is dreaming of being at the tower, and as he is standing in the roses, something monstrous comes down from the sky. Probably the beast, which would have been better than what it turned out to be. I watched the episode like father, like clown, where Jackie mason voices a character. He was so funny, I don't know why they didn't put him in more episodes. Maybe he was too well-known? Since I watched that episode, I've started listening to mason's comedy albums, it's been a lot of fun! I've also been watching all in the family, I don't like the stupid political debates or the racism, but if you strip all that away, it's still funny. Why they have to put politics in series I'll never know. I have no faith in politics and politicians in general, so it surprises me that people think they have a voice or can make changes in the political world. Anyway, I've also been watching the show baskets, it's good but the series has just come to an end. Re: Books by Stephen King Hi.Well I liked having king slip himself into the series, but what bothers me is that the whole quest for the tower is endangered just because king refuses to finish the series. I do believe the price that has to be paid to keep king alive was asking far too much. I do appreciate that in the end king faces up to his responsibilities, or at least that is implied in the story.I know this will sound silly to a lot of you, but I'm not a fan of the dark tower series anymore because of how it ended. I loved the series the whole time I was reading it, but when I got to the end, I read through the coda, and it broke my heart. If I had it to do over again, I would turn back before I read what I read. To me the whole second half of the final book was a major disappointment, I remember expecting a big triumphant conclusion, instead it was sad and short. In the end it seemed to me that roland used his friends as a means to an end. I think that's what I hated the most! The series up until the seventh book was great. So many good ideas, humor, questing, magic and guns, but it all ends in nothing. I never expected a completely happy ending, but I did expect king to have something rewarding at the end of the story.His other books are better, I don't have to worry about another series like that. My nephew is about 8 and never stops talking or begging for attention. I believe this is because he gets 0 attention at home. I try to have a real conversation with adults, he just talks over everyone. However it's been nice seeing my niece, she's growing up so fast. Me and my parents have pretty much raised her since she was a newborn, so I have a good connection with her.I've been playing a lot of games lately. I recently got back into the blindfold games. The sound quality is terrible, but the gameplay is excellent. I'm trying to master card games like rummy and solitaire. I'm not having much luck but it is still fun trying. I'm finding I enjoy mobile gaming a lot more than I used too. I've also been playing around with dice world and game world which has been great. The interface on those is a little confusing, but I'm slowly getting used to it. I'm hoping to practice enough to where I can join a dice tournament, I'm really enjoying farkle!Audiovault has been getting some hospital shows like the resident and station 19. I can't wait to watch the resident especially, the first time I watched it I didn't like it too much, the main character was too vanilla and the other one was too sarcastic and a little over the top for me. I'm willing to give the resident another try, maybe the characterization is something I can get used too. I'm looking forward to the visit, but I'm a little nervous, I'll miss the peace and quiet that I can get most of the time.Recently I've been watching king of the hill which I love! That show is really hard to come by, dvds are available, but the show isn't on any streaming services. I suspect this has something to do with fox or mike judge not wanting people to stream or download for some reason. It's the same thing with beevus and butt-head. Despite all that I'm enjoying king of the hill, the voices are great, and the characters are so funny. My favorites would have to be hank or boomhauer. It's a shame this show isn't talked about much anymore, it was cancelled a few years ago and the world moved on, I think bob's burgers was supposed to fill the voide that king left but it hasn't for me.I've also been streaming the old show cheers. That's still funny after all these years. The Frasier show I didn't like so much, it wasn't laugh out loud funny like cheers. It makes me wish I had a bar like that here, it would be interesting to hang out there to say the least.I haven't been gaming, I want to try morikuma's games especially alternative magic and memorial breed.@Dark, thanks for your post about the new Aladdin movie! They could click cancel or hit the system restore button for you. At the very least, they should be able to tell you what's happening as the computer starts back up again. If you can click or press enter on the okay button for system restore, Your computer should restart and be fine. It's easier for me to grab a book I want to read from bookshare, and read it. I try to hear voices in my head of the characters, and if the book is especially good, I really am able to get going and really live the story! For me it's like having the world's greatest show going on in my head. Using eloquence for me leaves a sort of blank slate that I can fill in with my imagination. When I did have jaws I enjoyed it very much, especially features like the jaws cursor, but that was long ago. Someone mentioned to me that visual studio works better with jaws, that sounds awesome. My computer slows way down when I turn on VS I don't know if it's the size of VS or NVDA crashing, maybe I should try a jaws demo and see what happens. I've been thinking I should take a writer's workshop, maybe that would help me understand what I'm trying to write a little bit better.As for having problems with parents, I still get that somewhat. I ask because I've been blind since birth, and I love to read. I have so many story ideas I've never been able to put down. It's like a never ending show in my head that I can never share properly. When I have tried to write stories before I read them and they make me sick, I feel like a child wrote them. Maybe I'm being too hard on myself, or maybe I just can't find my voice. I've had many different ideas, my favorite is an urban fantasy story or stories that feature a blind wizard. You should read cell, it's one of the nastiest zombie stories I've ever read. Or maybe zombie isn't the right word but they turn into something very similar when they get a blast of the signal. And yes there is an x-files episode like that called wetwired which was very good. Another episode that was similar was blood but instead of being controlled by tv's and things it was being spread by crop dusters. But before anyone asks, no the audiovault doesn't have the x-files seasons or at least not yet. And they don't have audio description for the original seasons, I don't think they ever will.Maybe I can help you expand on this idea, maybe the things that enter the computers and control humankind are aliens, spirits of aliens, or some other kind of creature or strange being. Maybe we created these things accidentally and now they are out to get us.
