Two problems exist and one is from the former IT team. Apparently there are some inconsistencies with the blue icon for the tree upload lighting up. Some have trees, some don't (it's just themselves which is weird). I found an example that I can send to FTDNA. I understand that one now. The

Cheri, et al I think we seem to be going on the assumption that it is the people who are not participating but I know exactly what seems to be the problem. Cheri, this is for FTDNA as their new software created trees for all individuals whether they had a gedcom or not. In other words all those

Thanks, Cheri, I think we all have the peeve about people not putting their GED's on FTDna! It's very disheartening to see that you are connected and then everything on the tree is private or there is none at all. FTDna can ask all they want but it's up to the individual to post the GEDCOM and

Roberta Estes mentioned something along those lines too in the article I sent the link for (https://goo.gl/H0pq12) Again though, the tree issue is the user's responsibility. Not FTDNA's. Here's some stuff that goes on that I'm aware of as an admin. "Popeye" does NOT want

However, it's not FTDNA's fault that people don't email back. The same thing happens on AncestryDNA and 23andMe as well. Not everyone answers back. Sometimes it's them and sometimes it's the sender. If someone is managing multiple kits and the email says "Hi I match you" they have no idea who

Well, that's not a Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) issue, it's the person who tested who has not uploaded their tree. Here is an excerpt of the Welcome Letter that goes out when someone joins the Azores DNA project: === Welcome to the Azores Islands DNA Project! We are glad you
