I'm looking for the marriage record of Antonio Tavares and Barbara
Rodrigues. The baptismal records of their children indicate they were
natives of Sao Miguel VFDC, but I did not find their marriage record in that
parish. I have the following children for them.
Pedro born 25 June 1715 in Sao
Great story! Thanks for sharing and I hope you find your biological father!

Thank you so much for looking at this. It seems the word is something like
Bispo (bishop?). Maybe it was a nickname (?). Like you said, we need more
records to verify.
I found two people on the Azores List that descend from this family. We have

That's a wonderful story, Laura - I have a feeling you might get a good lead
from this article. BTW, my people come from Bretanha as well and I've done my
DNA through FTDNA. Maybe we're related? ;)

Batacão is seen across the island. Here it is referencing the paternos in
the baptism:

Interesting article. I hope you find your birth father soon. Than you for
sharing.
God bless.

Hi Maria helena,
Andre Frs (Fernandes) :OK. But, Raposo doesn't seem correct. Look the name Roiz
(Rodrigues). The "R" is differentt of the first letter.Perhaps a "B" like
Bispado (4 lines upper), or Borges (2 lines upper) and Bernabe in the next
mariage (in the "testemunhas", 2nd line from

Hi Mary,
That's a difficult record, but this is what I think I see:

Hi friends - I found an article about Jose Pimentel on another board, but
it may be a clue to something I've been trying to sort out. I have a
mysterious "Sebastiao Jose Queiro Pimentel" (b ~1813, d 1892 Lomba, Flores)
in my tree, but have not found his birth or many others with the name
