scheduler, and you backup between the scheduled replications. If that is a server you can also change the housekeeping times to fit your backup needs. If it is a workstation nothing much would happen except the scheduled replications. cheers Steen

It seems to me that setting up a restricted console to use from the specific client might be something in the direction of what you want. As far as I know it restricts the view that the user at the client sees - maybe not the fd itself regards Steen

with warnings, it is the same backup job, just changed from incremental to differential during run via the mod command, and it is version 1.38.0. harddisks each 250 - 400 GB in raid I have also some data that changes a lot - I make differential backup every day, but recycles after a week, and then full every month, and recycles them after 6 months Then you can have two external harddisks to bring one home or off-site every other day cheers Steen
