As far as I read, Recycle Current Volume = yes is supposed to help me
by pruning and recycling whatever volume is in the drive if the
retention periods have expired, but I haven't been able to get this to
work
it now.

backups on weekends, and I cannot afford that for an incremental or
differential job, the software first runs a full backup.

havent doublechecked just now. The problem I can
imagine is that if I want to back up my windows server which is acting as
print server, and if someone prints to the port 2 printer while bacula is
backing up, what will happen then?

I have also some data that changes a lot - I make differential backup every
day, but recycles after a week, and then full every month, and recycles
them after 6 months
Then you can have two external harddisks to bring one home or off-site
every other day
