Hi,
I finally was able
to catch up again, static fd and postgres sd/dir are
done, the mysql
build will follow this weekend.
The 11.00 version
will be updated as soon as I get my 11.00 system
back, borrowed it
out for a few weeks.

Hi Max(x),
I'm going to roll out bacula client 1.38 on a HP-UX 11.11 server, but
before to go in production, I'd like to test it first on a similar
server, that runs on 11.00.
Is there anything available for 11.00 or can you at least suggest
whether it's possible to get the client compiled
Hi,
There are new binaries for HP-UX available.
http://deranfangvomen.de/~floh/bacula/ holds a static
client-only build and also one for postgresql.
They'll work on anything that has a PA8xxx cpu and runs
11.11 or 11.23.
The builds are 64bit PA_RISC-only, the 32bit PA_RISC1.0
ones will
Hi List(s),
below is yet another person trying a bacula build for AIX;
to my knowlegde noone has managed to build it in the last
months.
Suggestion:
it would take me about two weeks to make a freshly installed
RS/6000 accessible with compiler (I presume gcc) shell accessible
via ssh.

Hello Eric and list,
thank You for taking the time for this write-up.
I'm using bacula and very confident about it, but agree on
all points mentioned, and still lack a 'good feeling' about
my configuration, which is the reason I'm backing up about
20 clients in a completely ashaming schedule of
Hi Kern, list
1. please note that I'm doing HP-UX binaries of bacula for some time
now,
and also try to collect other odd operating system builds.

Hi,
The other question would be if there as a chance of building a
non-threaded bacula-sd, which *jumpsupanddown* would probably
also ease an AIX client.
Bacula-sd and bacula-dir is running very fine on a Debian
Linux box :) I
only need bacula-fd for HPUX 10.20.
that was a typo, I
Hi Geir,
I've tried to compile bacula-fd (./configure
--enabel-client-only) on an
old HP box running HPUX 10.20. The last messages I get is
that it can't
find fork. In the bacula manual I see that ptreads is

Hi,
being slow I've until catched up to 1.38.3, but this should do
for most of us ;)
I also tried to collect some more binaries that showed up on

hey kern, list,
From about May 2006 on, I am going to make an effort to
attend at least one
FOSS conference this year, and possibly we will have our own
little Bacula

this sounds real good! please do send some 'heads up'-message

Hi John,
- I understand that there's been some recent development work on this
package, and Google finds a reference to bacula-web 1.2, but I can't
find this newer release on the web. What is the current release,
and where can I find a copy?
You'll find bacula-web included in the
Hi Roger,
Now I`m really embarrassed, actually ,FreeBSD is protecting itself
against runaway processes by allowing maximum memory size for one
process to 512MB, I had to increase the maximum to 2 gig by adding

Hi Quentin,
I had some trouble with the 'official' installer for Mac OS X on the
Bacula site. I only needed bacula-fd and it was easy to build from
the source, but I thought others, like me, might be searching for
binaries so I posted them on
Hi,
to be honest, I'm quite confused by this topic myself :)
Still, I'd like to put some of my NetWorkerized logic out for
discussion, I don't know if this is implementable, though.
Maybe You've been thinking this through already and it's not
achieving what is needed, I'm not sure. But it

Hi Ferdinando,
[.s.n.i.p.]
I think it'll be easier for You to simply build a server with sqlite and
throw away the bacula-dir binary.
I am still testing this environment using 1.36.3 (even if I
compiled Tru64 5.1B static SD and FD), so I cannot guarantee
anything, but if someone is

Hi,
You're talking about migration, basically, which is a planned future

developers on
how to implement migration and an extended spooling

Title: Bacula 1.36.3 HP-UX downloads
Hi,
I've got my webserver fixed, the download URL is

for the time being.
I've also added a bacula client for HP-UX 11.23/IA64.
As I don't have root access to the IA64 system, I can't supply a server
