Hi. I am using BBEdit 11.6.8 and have a file with thousands of lines, where most lines contain an expression that looks like this: ID_User=.5a82483a&-find There's other stuff on the line too. What I would like to do is find everything between the ID_User_ and *-find (e.g. .5a82483a in this

I finally bought the bullet and upgraded from BBEdit 9.6.3 to the latest version because 9.6.3 wasn't working well with Yosemite. The only reason I hesitated all this time was because I was used to the old modal Find feature and up through that version there was a setting to continue using it.

Thanks for your responses people. Rich, from Barebones, examined the file and solved the issue for me. The issue was simply the language setting in the status bar at the bottom of the window, a place I had never looked. I changed that to JavaScript and also added a suffix for the extension I
