That looks simple enough combined with the CMD+up arrow and CMD+f. That
would be the same number of strokes as in the old modal find option.

I finally bought the bullet and upgraded from BBEdit 9.6.3 to the latest
version because 9.6.3 wasn't working well with Yosemite. The only reason I

solved the issue for me.
The issue was simply the language setting in the status bar at the bottom of
the window, a place I had never looked.
I changed that to JavaScript and also added a suffix for the extension I
