Using the controller with 7.4.1 I select a genre from my music library,
navigate to the Various Artists entry, hold down the centre button and
choose Play from the pop-up (context?) menu.
For me, whatever genre I choose it always plays the same single album
(a compilation called Chilosophy 3,

I think that is a different bug. It might be related but I can't see
just how it is.
If you have a controller (or iPeng, a Baby or a Touch) can you see if
you can replicate the problem I have. I'm not happy submitting a bug
until the problem is verified by at least one more person.

As a long term SB user, I've mainly searched the forums to solve issues
I have had. More recently I am becoming more active (some time on my
hands) and trying to fathom the best way to help the community.
I echo Eland's post on commenting on bugs, but also find it difficult

just loaded 7.4.1 and see exactly the same as you.
My default track is the first song on the first album I played by My
Music\Genres=Pop\Various Artists\Press and Hold Centre\Select Play
When I repeat with Genres = Rock and or Genres = Punk I get the same
album, which is only tagged with

FWIW, I don't see this bug on either Touch or Baby (I don't own a
Controller). My main library is FLAC, but I also tried it with a test
library of MP3s and it works on both.

No, not really.
When you browse into [Some Genre] Various Artists do you get see only
albums that have tracks from the genre, or do you see all albums? Mine
are correctly filtered.
Do you have any VA albums tagged with mixed genres? I don't

My personal opinion is that this is also a bit of a chicken and egg
problem. We need more people to vote. If one bug has 5 votes and
another has 8, it's really hard to say that is a statistically
significant difference. Please vote early and often :)

i found slim via cnet or toms hardware. i eventually got a SB2 for its
ability to listen to netradio without a computer on (which really didn't
work well for me btw). i eventually found the forums b/c SS had no TPE2
option (bug 8001) and sometime after that i eventually got into
bugzilla.
