i found slim via cnet or toms hardware. i eventually got a SB2 for its ability to listen to netradio without a computer on (which really didn't work well for me btw). i eventually found the forums b/c SS had no TPE2 option (bug 8001) and sometime after that i eventually got into bugzilla.
in other words, is not obvious to ANY user, even long time ones, that they should vote or that it matters, or even what bugzilla really is. conversely, logitech may want a "sluice" where its not all that easy for the "commoner" to vote or file new bugs. i think you could get around that though, by requiring certain thresholds, etc... personally, i think logitech should tie everything into one online profile, as the basis of a social networkig site. ie. mysb.com, forums, bugzilla, etc... tie it all together, and allow differing profiles to interact. in addition, the forum really needs redesigned. yes its ugly, but its also poorly set up, and many other products/services have np having sub-forums for bugs. also, the support tracker system the call center uses could be combined with the forums, which would really be useful. (ie. support tickets via the web in forum like manner, again as part of your profile but with a, ahem, "public option.") -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbr (parent's home) - w/sc 7.3.4b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69245 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
