Hi all:
Just before attending the funeral service for our birding mentor friend, Don
Perks, Dan Salisbury and I ( Luc Fazio) had a Least Bittern at the Kipling Spit
in the Etobicoke. See my Video on You Tube below. Someone alerted us to the
LEBI and I refound it.

Hi Ontbirders,
27 of us went out birding for the day around Ottawa. We started at
Britannia/Mud Lake before going out to Shirley's Bay, then on to the sod
farms near the intersection of Boundary/French Settlement Roads, and
finally back to Britannia to finish the day. We saw 83 species in total.

Hi
Further to Charmaine's report we have had a domestic greylag-type goose at the
park all summer long. It is capable of flight and has been hanging with the
Canada Geese. I was informed that it was down at Beach 1 this morning. This
bird has been mistaken by many as an immature White-fronte
Greater white fronted goose in a large group of Canada geese at far eastern end
of beach one at presqu'ile prov. park.

Despite NW early, I had a number of highlights from my condo balcony
looking at the west end of Lake Ontario. In the past hour, winds have
shifted from the NE (typically much better), so hopefully the birds keep
coming!
