The Prothonotary Warbler that Mark Colon spotted at Springbank Park is still
there as of this afternoon. The location that myself and the other fellow
spotted it at was past Storybook Gardens heading towards the Pumphouse. It was
spotted in a tree or bushes low to the ground next to the river. I
The prothonotary is in the exact same tree this evening at about 8pm.
It was roosting as opposed to foraging tonight. It is in the tangle
of branches of the fallen cedar.
I was there in the afternoon 4pm and did not locate it, though
I was rather distracted by the significant bird movement occurin
I am somewhat speechless to have discovered a Prothonotary Warbler this
evening in London.
It is an adult male and provided very good unhindered views for about 20
mins. He was still
there when I left.

I was just texted photos of the bird from Stefan Baker, who saw it not long
ago.
He had it near the beach closest to the mainland on the east side of the park.
Good bird for Toronto and the GTA.

This evening, Logan Baldwin found a Prothonotary Warbler near the Visitor's
Centre at Tiny Marsh Provincial Wildlife area.
A few of us others got to see this cooperative bird actively feeding from
1930-2000 hrs.
Tiny Marsh is 30 km NW of Barrie.
Directions: From Elmvale, go 2 km NW on Road 27, a
Mike Austin and I found a Prothonotary Warbler at Point Pelee this morning. I
realize it might not be a really rare bird anymore at Pelee but finding one
this late in the year was pretty exciting.
We had seen it on the Red Bud Trail, it was half way between the clearing and

spot this morning.
The bird is being seen on either side of the duck viewing station at the
bottom end of the calf pasture.

looking PROW feeding in the budding shrubs at St Clair National Wildlife Area
very close to the entrance road (that lead to the public parking / office).

We went looking for the Prothonotary Warbler at Bridge F but it had moved on -
maybe too much traffic with holiday today. We found it after 5pm by Bridge A.
It was moving around a lot but basically if you walk over the bridge, the path

The male Prothonotary Warbler reported earlier is delighting many birders today
and was still being seen when I left it about 15 minutes ago. It is being seen
adjacent to the Waterfront Trail in the far northeast section of the woods.

A Prothonotary Warbler was banded this morning at Innis Point Bird Observatory.
It flew west after being released. Innis Point Bird Observatory is on DND
property and gated but it could be worthwhile to check along Riddell Drive or
March Valley Road.

Sorry for the delay in reporting. On Sunday, May 8th at 3:30pm there
was a Prothonotary Warbler observed along the canal trail at the Wilkes
Dam on the Grand River in Brantford. The PRWA was foraging low over the
surface of the canal opposite the truck trailer yard. Also observed were

Park in Mississauga now west of Lakeside Park and the Suncor Building and
across from Holicom. Parking is still best at Lakeside or the property beside.
Suncor has no trespassing signs.

On May 16th there was a Prothonotary Warbler banded at Ruthven Park NHS.
A total of 18 species and forms of warbler were recorded during the day. These
were Northern Parula, Prothonotary Warbler, Brewster's Warbler, Blue-Winged
Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Cape
Wednesday evening at ~6:45 there was a Prothonotary Warbler at the rear of the
BSC headquarters property in Port Rowan. We followed it from some willows
about halfway along the back lakeshore path, west to the bay lookout, where we
lost it in the tangled vines.

Today May 30th, while walking one of the R.B.G. Trails in Dundas, I had about a
ten second look at a male Prothonotary Warbler. Since this bird was seen in an
