Would it be more reasonable to buy an oven thermometer your wife can read
for a couple of bucks for the purpose of calibrating the oven?
Just saying, there are some things worth doing the usual way.

Well, for the price, you can probably find uses for it but I didn't it was
worth the time. It is little more then a cheap talking watch on the end of
an aluminum probe. Maybe you

I think you can put the probe inside the oven
while it is heating. I have a meat thermometer
and you put the probe in the meat and there is a

Isn't there something made by Cobolt that can measure temperature? I thought
it was an accessory to one of their multimeters. Sorry if I misspelled the
name of the company.

Yes, Karen always does that. Actually I think she lets it sit for about 20
minutes before she uses it to make sure that it is the right temp.

I think speak to me catalog has the same thing for 5 bucks less. I got mine
last year when they were only 25 dollars. My thermometer came with the
battery terminals squashed down. My sighted wife took a real small Allan

Aloha Lenny,
Just a note about this. I complained that my oven was off. When the
guy came out, he said that after the oven light went out and the
preheated beeps sounded, I needed to wait until I heard the oven
performed two more cycles before it was actually at the right
temperature. He said t
Betsy is quite correct, it's going to take a couple cycles to get the entire
oven stabilized.
I wouldn't rely on an instant read digital thermometer any more than the
built-in thermostat to be accurate. Actually I think
the spring unit is more likely to be better since you probably
