Your trick for heating the propane in warm water is an old trick we used to
install freon in air conditioners before the big fancy new pump systems.
Sometimes the freon would freeze up the same way and if you held the can in
your hand, it would stick just like putting your tongue on something
I have a 100 pound propane tank here in Northern New York. I use it for
some heat and the stove. The local gas provider owns it but it lives at my
house. They come to fill it whenever I order gas, about once a year. They
have a truck with a long hose.

I'm considering using Carbon Fiber to make some model boats and
airplanes. I've been advised to experiment with Fiber Glass first because
the techniques are similar but Carbon Fiber is considerably more expensive
than Fiber Glass. Have you had luck working with either.

Hi, I use propane here in Florida and have used it for Heating and cooking
all my life. The way the gas tanks is for bulk is measured in gallons. Here
is a example: If you have a 100 gallon tank you can fill it to the capacity
of 85 percent at tops. So a 100 gallon tank can hold up to 85 gallons.
Unless you are in another country beside the USA bulk propane tanks are
measured in gallons not pounds. Any propane tank that is measured in pounds
is consider portable tanks.

You are right. That is the way they do portable tanks. Big bulk tanks they
come and fill and they are measured in gallons. See my previous post of
propane tanks and examples.

Yes, this is how bulk tanks works and if you rent the tank from them. It
works the same if you own your tank but you don't pay the rental fee and you
have to maintained your own tank. The gas cost a little more if you own your
own tank. That is because they are not getting the rental fee and you
Jerry, I've worked with fiber glass before. It's messy but it can be done.
There are basically 2 types of backing you can use depending on the type of
mixture you go with.
I'm going back a few years now but I used some stuff called Tiger Tail. It

When you look for a propane supplier find out if they have automatic
delivery and a minimum price. Last year a friend had a major problem with
his supplier. There was a 100 gallon tank only for his fireplace. They
filled it the previous January. In the fall he received a bill for $95 for 3
They can be interchangeable with gallons or pounds but you have to be good at
math. A gallon of propane goes about 4.7 pounds as I recall. You can Google
if you have lots of time...
The tanks used for gas grills are usually called 20 pound tanks. On the band

It is over 25 years ago since I used fiber glass. At that time there were two
forms easily available, woven fabric and what is called random mat. Both fabric
and mat come in various weights. My understanding is that the random mat is
more pliable and stronger, it consists of glass fibers which
