You could just get an extra cup, not the entire portafilter. Pop out the cup in your current portafilter and remove the retaining spring that runs around the inside of the hoop. This will allow the cups to drop into and lift out of the portafilter easily. You can fill/tamp both cups before you

Mine is always stiff and feels like it's grinding after Cafiza but, like Todd says, it goes away after a couple of uses. Been this way for six years of daily use and I haven't developed any leaks. I'd hate to think that I need to take the whole mechanism apart to grease it after every Cafiza
