You could just get an extra cup, not the entire portafilter. Pop out the cup in your current portafilter and remove the retaining spring that runs around the inside of the hoop. This will allow the cups to drop into and lift out of the portafilter easily. You can fill/tamp both cups before you begin extracting and then after extracting the first one the used cup will lift out easily and you can replace it with the clean & dry cup in seconds. I use this method every day so I can make drinks for my wife and myself without having to deal with a dirty wet cup between extractions.
