It's hard to tell from the way you're describing it but it may be the
pressurestat. It it's the steam pressure that keeps rising rather than the
brew temp I'd say it's the pressurestat.

I have a Brewtus II that is on a timer.
When I wake up the temperature gauge is reading 201F.
But, recently, the brew group that the portafilter goes into, is not as hot
to the touch as it used to be hot . It is slightly warmer than room
temperature.

a year ago. This morning after it being off all night and cooling down
completely, the brew boiler seems to be behaving normally again. PID is
