I do the same. When gasoline evaporates slowly in a carburetor, it leaves a
film of lacquer-type residue. Over many uses, this film can accumulate and
ruin the gaskets and floats.
I use Briggs and Stratton fuel treatment (from Wal-Mart) in the gas. It lasts
