As I was driving through Community Corners today at 3:30
I went down Sweazey Rd. in Lansing, (off Rt. 34B-Ridge Road, about 4.5 miles
from the South Lansing stop light), drove west just past the Cornell Orchards
onto the dirt part of the road, and found the SCREECH OWL in a somewhat wide
south-facing cavity, in a branch (barkless) that points west
BALD EAGLE, adult, soaring back and forth, north to south, over Lansing Station
Rd., Lansing, and edge of lake, 3 PM.
Also, same time, flock of about 30 CEDAR WAXWINGS perched in tree, over road;
woods there have many grape vines.
We were without electric power and cable ( Internet) after then,
I put the Waterloo Outlet Mall Snowy Owl in E-Bird just now.
