It's a lot better with CF7 than it was with the early versions of 6
The error messages are mostly a lot cleaner / clearer now than
they were... You can still get the occasional Java 500 error, but I
get these mostly if I accidentally create an infinite loop via nested
methods in a CFC. So ...
I avoid using beans for list pages... I've seen people do it, but it's
not very efficient... granted, I don't like beans in the traditional
sense, but I do use objects (I call them DAO's) which in my
applications function similarly to the way people use beans. But I
don't use those in list pages

user records -- not any more than you do when using queries.

Nope, comma's never been part of a number in CF... It uses US
formatted numbers (as far as I'm aware), but discluding commas. I
believe this is a pretty standard format for numbers in computing
languages... But because humans like to format their numbers we have
LSParseNumber() and
extreme capabilities and processing tons of data, and
my apps are simple retrieve, insert, update, and delete
queries
for relatively simple apps...how much difference would
all this make?

Well once we have a system for storing international contact
