We have solicited quote from our local, and normally very trusted, Cisco
partner for Internet Edge Router with 10X10G towards service provider and 2X40G
towards our network. Current deployment will be two 2X10G LAG bundles to ISP's
(40G), this will be replacing current MX104.

with GigaMon being one of the leaders. An interesting option that I think we
will seriously consider is Cisco Nexus 9K platform running what Cisco calls
Data Broker. I find it appealing that the Nexus switch can run in

strictly to OEM maintenance?

We run into this frequently with our public school networks, a couple
of things we try to do;
1. Eliminate the hairpin traffic to the router - DNS trickery as already
mentioned and/or a second nic in target server - we configure our
routers with the public network as a secondary IP on the

eliminate this issue. Basic configs are provided and any support beyond
that is billed at $150 per hour, minimum 1 hour.
