Bruce, I had a similar issue with water leaking from the inspection port cover. I purchased some "X" Profile O-rings from Mcmaster.com. This style O ring gives you double protection against possible leaks because there are two areas where the O ring makes contact with the tank and cover. Ted

Curious why you would care if the tank leaked at the top of the tank. All of the water is of full use. Fresh water in the bilge. I assume you aren’t taking water in from the fill points, so you are not sinking! I have a similar (possibly the same) problem (and many others) so I wonder why

I called back again and they went from 1125$ to 1092$ for 40k still way to much. I talked to an agent at the providence boat show (maritime insurance int.) and he agreed that boat US was unusually high. I will talk to him next week and he will have quotes for me maybe an agent is the way to go.
