You have to watch dBi vs. dB rated antennas. I don't consider the quarter-wave
or vertical dipole gain antennas really, but they both show 2 or 3 dB gain over
an isotropic radiator. The straight dB (sometimes dBd) rating assumes a dipole
or 1/4 wave and rates the gain over that.

$50K of hull insurance with no salvage, if it takes $25K to salvage the boat

You seem to have several issues going on.
1. The regulator: If it is bad it may leak gas or provide improper gas
pressure. It should smell bad if it leaks assuming you get smelly gas. Pure
methane has no odor, but every tank I have ever got had the stink perfume added.
2. The solenoid: If
The problem: The C 35 MK I has a small horizontal bulkhead right up in the
bow for a reinforced area to bolt the stemhead to. The deck is not attached to
it, there is about a ¼” air gap. That makes the whole assembly weaker and
subject to compression bending.
Step 1: Remove the anchor roller

mast height! YIKES! I have never been in waves higher than the boat is long and
look to continue that trend.
The best holding would be something like 250 feet of ½” chain, but then your
boat would float bow-down.
For decades we had 6 feet of ¼” inch chain. This was pretty much standard
issue for racing. It did work, we made up for lack of chain catenary by using
7:1 scope. The problem I had with it
Expanding foam has no structural strength at all and is easily compromised by
water. I would not even think of it for this use.

Re financing: My credit union will loan on boats 200 years old, they really
don’t care about age as long as there is survey to provide some idea of the
value of the boat. This is not true of most lenders, so make sure you can get
the money on X year boat before wasting your time on it.

Used boat prices have ramped up HUGELY in the last year or so. My wife thought
maybe we should move up and I wasted time and money looking at floating junk
that would have been going for scrap a couple of years ago. Also note the
