The Dellenbaugh Angle is much less critical than the Modelo Angle. The
Modelo Angle is the angle at which a beer will tip over and spill. Also
known as the Heineken Angle.

In summary, there are a lot of ways to tie a spring line to a boat.

spring line has some stretch (i.e.
three strand).
I'm also thinking I can somehow slide some clear vinyl hose over my
existing spring hook/carabiner to give it a protective cover. Otherwise,
I'll continue to use the soft shackle alone.

I did exactly that on a client's boat. Had 2 different projections for the
Selden sprit. Don't recall the lengths but one was maximum projection with
no penalty. More than that incurred a hit.

If someone needs a better engine, grab this one, yank the engine and give

Many years ago, I did a job overlaying the gelcoat non-skid sections of a

TSP (triple superphosphate) before applying the new gelcoat. It stuck.

I reviewed the invoices for painting Touche's topsides in 2011 and 2020.
The paint was less than 12% of the total cost. Labor, prep, etc. dwarfed
the paint cost.

Josh,
Where did you get the torque spec? Is it for the bolt? Or is it from the
engine manual?
The bolt torque spec for the bolt alone may exceed the torque for the
aluminum block.

I'm guessing the thread degradation doesn't have much effect on the
strength as long as the shaft is not damaged. Having said that, the shear
strength of a M12 10.9 hardness bolt is about 7500 lbs.
Did I win? What's my prize? Can it be shipped or do I need to pick it

garage, this is not applicable.
My previous boat had a running AT4 when I bought it. I installed an
electronic ignition and coil kit from Indigo. Moyer sells one.
Sometimes AT4 ignition coils will overheat and short out internally.
