I have the same set up as Jim, though my starting battery is another Group 27 (which is unnecessary, and I wouldn't advise). I doubt you would get a 6v battery in there. My group 27's fit perfectly as Jim said, but the battery compartment wasn't designed with golf cart batteries in mind. KD On

Lorne, I have a Novacool unit that came with the boat, not sure if it is original or not. On mine, the evaporator is on the settee side and the compressor is under the settee right next to the refrigerator compartment. I agree with Kevin's statement that the 30-2's are pretty well insulated.

You might look into the harder plexi (80mil IIRC) if visibility is a concern. The standard isinglass is hard to see through and yellows over time. You might also like a hard top dodger with optional canvas and isinglass panels. You'd retain the shade but maximize visibility. PM me for more

Lorne,   The ice box isn't going to be accessible after you cut a hole through for your refridgerant lines. If you want to insulate before your install its possible. Start by removing the lid, then remove the gasket that the lid rests on. Under the gasket you will see that the box is
