I am currently looking at an 85 Landfall 35 the surveyor has found delamination
in the bow above and below waterline, he says due to the construction and
drainage of the anchor locker. Anyone have this issue?

There's no visible signs. He was taking moisture readings in the 200 to 225
range and registered delamination based on the hammer test. The boat well
priced so it doesn't change much for me.

The survey suggested the bottom was wet (199 and anove) with readings from 250
to 450.

Interesting commentary on the Flex O Fold. I've got one on a Landfall 35 with
a Westerbeke 30 and it won't hold at 3000 rpm for but a few moments. Next time

Nice, they do seem the cost effective way to go.
In your experience do weak batteries make diesels hard to start. Two weekends
after sitting all week the starter turns but there is no ignition but there is

I've got 3 batteries I took home as well. The Black & Decker 15 amp smart
charger has worked great. It does a full charge and then goes to float mode so
you can keep it hooked up if you want. Decent price too.

It always starts very nicely. I was running at around 2900 for hours. Also
had a bit of a throttle issue where it would slip down to lower rpm's and I had
to hold it to keep it above 2500. But I couldn't get over 3000.
After on the dock I started it and it easily went to 3400 or so. At that

overboard controlled by a Y valve. I've had issues with pressure in the system

stuff. Took a lot, sanded the rest, smoothed the rest with epoxy with 404.
Wet sanded 80 grit, then wiped with acetone.

That part of the hull doesnt seem partcularly thick or strong.
