This morning there were signs of migration at Sloan's Lake

I've had three parties of Red Crossbill (all with Type 2 c alls) passing
north over St. Mary Church along South Prince in Littleton (ARA) so far
this morning, plus some Pine Siskins. 5 Lark Buntings also flew over the
church parking lot heading south. And multiple Wilson's Warblers are in the
Several people (I think seven) were able to see the jaeger at Pueblo Reservoir
today. I think everyone is sure it isn't a Pomarine, however after that, who
knows. The bird stayed far away most of the time, except when Bill Maynard and
I were at North Picnic Road, the bird was fairly close.

Long-tailed Jaeger. This is only is the second one ever for Pueblo Reservoir
as far as I know.

of Sloan's Lake. Some are nice males in full plumage.
There are others in this flock but I can't pick them out... could be almost
the
It was fairly slow at Crow Valley Campground (Weld) this afternoon but I did
run into the following birds of modest note:
Dusky Flycatcher (2)
American Redstart (1f)
Cordilleran Flycatcher (1)
Warbling Vireo (1) saw it catch and eat a green lacewing, plus a good-sized
unidentified caterpillar
Birders,
The warbler fallout at Tempel Grove in NE Bent County was, simply, fantastic
today. I met Janeal Thompson and Jane Stulp around noon today, and we
located ten warbler species this afternoon. We had multiples of some species
you don't ordinarily think you will see one of in a day. Our

On this soggy morn, I visited Crow Valley and wandered around for a couple
hours.
At the north end, where the group campground is, a bright Eastern Wood-Pewee
was making forays until set upon by a Western Wood-Pewee. Much noise was made
during the tussle, and afterwards, the
We had a remarkably birdy day Friday at our vacation home in Estes Park. The
socked-in, and off-and-on rainy conditions seemed to be concentrating migrants
around our yard, and I think this was the most species we have ever observed in
and from the property in a single day. Late in the
