The buff-breasted sandpiper continues this morning at Prewitt, Washington Co. I
was looking at a couple sanderlings when it flew into my view and stood there.
That's some luck! Many distant photos, maybe none identifiable. Lighting is
awful. Lots of shorebirds to sort through though.

Follow up. The info I got suggested it flew north from the model airplane field
and it was not seen again via several folks that searched this morning and
afternoon. I think the bird was seen before 8-830 am this morning and not
since.

I was walking in the greenspace near my home this morning, and came across
a few good rarities.
The first was a Canada Warbler actively feeding in deciduous trees near a
stream, where a convenient path crosses the way. This area is to the west
of the Roxborough Skate Park.

in Boulder.

Hi all,
There is about 2000 Rosy finches in my yard in Estes now. The flock is
primarily Brown-capped, but there is at least three Blacks in the flock too.
There is also a few Cassin's Finches.

Just a little update about the birds here in estes. At Lake Estes I
found 2 Black-throated Gray Warblers this morning. One adult male and
one juvenile male. Also at my banding site at the YMCA we had a
Northern Waterthrush and 2 MacGillvary's Warblers on Friday.

Got a late start to Flagler this morning, but it may have made the day for me.
Everything I found was in the tree area south-southeast of the boat ramp on the
west side.
Managed to find a yellow-bellied sapsucker in the midst of all the
yellow-shafted and red-shafted flickers. A winter wren

After about 2 hours of periodic fruitless scanning from my office window in
Lakewood (I'm on the 4th floor looking NW towards Golden, nice view
anyway), I finally just saw a flock of about 50 sandhills heading south
close to Green Mountain.

present. A late snowy egret, yellow-shafted flicker, 1 Lincoln's
sparrow, 17 Long-billed Dowitchers, and 18 White-fronted Geese were other nice
birds. Beautiful day in the field.

Ruddy turnstone was seen around 730, then disappeared as I was looking at the
gulls. Red-necked grebe out near overflow outlet with western grebes. Two
Sabine's gulls in area east of sands put. No terns seen. 6 Franklin's gulls at
edge of spit with many ring-billed and California's.

Turnstone seen by a group about 1-130. I relocated an imm Sabine's gull that a
few folks got to see. It kept moving around.
At Massey draw beach, Jefferson co, I refound the red-necked grebe in with the
big group of westerns.
