I've fitted my se/30 with IIfx ROM and it works fine.
I'm afraid I don't know what advantages there are in
each case.

I had a similiar problem with my Apple Macintosh SE/30, It was easily fixed
by replacing the chip capacitors on the motherboard.

C6 ) with new
That is possible.
With respect to upgrading the ROM on a SE/30, you may notice that some older
games will not run right with the 32-bit clean ROMs... Discovered that when I
tried to run the original version of Arkanoid on my IIsi. Kept crashing. On
my Plus, it worked great.

Since I found the .047 copper clad board, another couple of weeks
and I should be able to make IIfx and IIci ROMs. I don't have the
IIsi code. Doesn't really help with the original poster's question,
but should make it a bit easier to do comparisons of these usually
hard to find items.
