many cameras will need firmware/software upgrades to be Vista compatible and some won't work at all... Just for the record, I have used six different cameras with Vista, and they were all compatible, including one that dates back to the previous century.

My Olympus C-2100 is not on the compatibility list so as far as I am concerned, Vista don't work. The current version of the software for your 7-year old camera is Vista-compatible, and free. I guess you didn't bother to check the Olympus site? This magazine found that your method just hook
