are formatted UDF. My computer, a Macintosh, does not recognize them
and will not mount them. They can be read on a Windows machine, but
even Windows does not immediately recognize them as discs that
contain images, and
UDF has been around awhile and has in a PITA for mac users for awhile. You
might try asking the one who gave you the disks if they were
finalized...this might be the issue also.
The person who burned this might not even know it's UDF, let them know. Let
them know of more compatible ways to burn
